The Worst Slumlord Ever

I can not tell you stronglly enough John Pingel the property
manager for this company does lock outs ,open&steals tenents belongings enters apartments without notice violates leases and any other sneaky or illeagel thing
you can do to your tenants if you are thinking of renting don,t he charges you to replace his already ruined units
if its not repaired at the time you move in he will say it will
be repaired later but it wont and when you think it you are
finally free of him he charges you to fix the damages that
were pre-exzisting he brags that he has a99.9 percent
sucess rate when you ask for your deposit back he says
take me to court you wont get a copy of your lease ever
danger beware!!!!!!!! DO NOT RENT OR BUY ANY THING FROM THIS MAN HE IS VERY OILY THE REASON I'M HIS
ONLY REVIEW IS BECAUSE THE INFO ON HIS CORRESPONDENCE WITH HIS TENANTS LISTS A WEB
SITE THAT THE INTERNET SEARCH ENGINES CANT FIND ???????? HE GOT 1 STAR BECAUSE I COULD NOT GIVE HIM LESS I THINK HE IS A PREDATOR AND A DISGRACE

I have lived here for 2 years and was referred by my cousin who lives at a different property Mr. Pingel manages. I'm 51 years old and have rented from at least 15 other landlords in the City of St. Louis. I am please as punch. My cousin is very happy with his apartment also. The place isn't perfect, but he does a better job than any other landlord I have had.

DO NOT RENT!

Do not rent from this company or John Pingel. I originally signed my lease with Fisher & Co, and had zero issues. Three months later Sage Management bought the building & I've had nothing but issues. John attempted to change my locks because he said he had my apartment on a list of vacant apartments, which is hard to believe since I just paid rent to him & my apartment is fully furnished. So my daughter & I got locked INSIDE my apartment due to his maintenance man improperly installing my new lock John broke. This company does not have an emergency maintenance line so I was locked inside my apartment for hours before John came. Then he brought me light bulbs to try & smooth things over. The next issue was the gas leak at my stove. The gas company even wrote up a violation that John still hasn't addressed. I also asked to be notified when my stove was repaired, which I wasn't. Here's the bigger issue, my bedroom ceiling leaks every time it rains. I notify John every time & he claims it's fixed. He claims to only tar mop the roof but doesn't repair the ceiling in my bedroom. This has happened 4 times as of today. The last time this happened he claims he was out of town, well that's why it's necessary to have an emergency maintenance line. When he finally had his maintenance man look at the damages, he left me a note saying he "checked the damages in the bathroom". Nothing is wrong with the bathroom, it's the BEDROOM! The same day he checked the "damages", coincidently my AC stopped working. So my daughter & I had to suffer in an 80 degree apartment. He (supposedly) had his HVAC guy come out to check the AC, well this guy left me a note saying that my fuse was tapered with & was in upside down. Pretty strange. He never returns emails or phone calls. From reviews I read on yellowpages.com this sounds all to familiar. If I didn't care about my credit & had the money to move I would do it in a heartbeat. This guy must be use to tenants that are late on rent, nuisance, trash the apartment, etc. I have been nothing but nice to John, I pay my rent on time, I am not a nuisance, my apartment is always clean & tidy, I just don't understand why he would buy a property & neglect his good paying tenants.

I have lived in the complex that John Pingle manages for some time now. I find the property to well kept and maintenence is always on top of things. Mr Pingle is easy to talk to and approach. I have recommended several friends to move onto the properties and they are also enjoying it.
