Seascape has an amazing selection of quality live specimens and merchandise. It has to be the best LFS around in South St. Louis County. However, their customer service skills are more than lacking.



I usually go there, ask an employee for assistance, and then they generally skip right over me to the next customer (usually someone they seem to personally know, a friend of theirs perhaps). I don't know how this always happens, but it happens a LOT, not with any specific employee, but usually the situation ends up with me standing there with my mind made up, ready to spend money, while they chit chat with someone who probably isn't buying anything.



I understand you wanna chat and have small talk with your buddies about their tanks, but on the other hand you have a customer who wants to spend money in your store who was asking for help before your friend walked in picking your brain about protein skimmers.



OR, I could be the only customer in the store with 3-5 employees running around the store doing more important things, making me feel like I'm invisible or in the way. This happens a lot too.



Maybe i should just order my stuff from Doctor Fosters and Smith from now on. We'll see....

They have very informed staff and can order anything you would ever want for your salt water aquariums. The store is very neat and the aquariums are amazing.
