Soulard Market is the oldest farmers market west of the Mississippi established in 1779 and is open Wednesday-Saturday. We have local farmers, one organic farmer, a world class bakery, spice shop, and many produce vendors that handle local and shipped in produce. The market also carries a variety of other general merchandise like shirts, jewelry, incense, sports memorabilia, hand made soaps, carpet, photography and hand made crafts. We are open 52 weeks a year. Our location is within a mile of Busch Stadium, Anheuser-Busch Brewery, the Gateway Arch & Riverboat Cruises, and the National Blues Museum. Our neighborhood is home to approx. 40 restaurants & bars, historic homes, and live music 7 days a week.Soulard Market is the oldest farmers market west of the Mississippi established in 1779 and is open Wednesday-Saturday. The Market has a variety of fresh produce & merchandise vendors. Inside the market they have fresh meat & also a variety of food to satisfy your hunger while there at the Market.
The Bakery of freshly made SWEETS, was featured on an episode of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmerman on the Travel Channel, when he tasted the Bakery's Fresh Butter Cake. And I have tried it myself & I will give it a 5 STARS. But a warning though, the Fresh Butter Cake is NOT RECOMMENDED FOR DIABETIC'S to try

I have been going to the Farmer's market for years! The fresh fruit & vegetables are a thousand times tastier than the normal grocery store fare. You can literally smell the difference in the fruit!
