Provided by YP.comBEWARE of Insurance Charges, I only gave this one star because the staff was so nice and accommodating. I had 2 insurances and one of the insurances was going to end at the end of November. I had one root canal that needed to be redone and I wanted to make sure that I completed this before one of the insurances canceled. They should have been able to submit to both insurances and my payment would have been minimal. I had another root canal that also had to be redone right after this one and I knew that I would receive bill for the 2nd one in full. The day I walked out at the end of November, I asked specifically to the Dr. Maher and the receptionist (for billing purposes) that they had completed the first redo of the root canal in it's entirety and they both said YES, then I asked do you need anything more from me and they said NO. A few days into December I came in for the 2nd one to have redone. I received a bill 3 months later stating that nothing had been submitted in November due to the first redo was not done until December. I called them and stated that I asked Dr. Maher personally that he had everything done and needed to finish billing the insurance in November and said that he agreed. The billing person stated that the tooth was not done until December (they can't bill until the tooth is completed). I was devastated after asking personally about this and receiving over a $1000 bill for something that I should have only received about half. I could not believe it! Make sure you get anything in writing from them, as a conversation meant nothing.

Provided by YP.comDr. Maher performed my first (and hopefully last) root canal! Dr. Maher explained the procedure in depth prior to performing the task. I felt very comfortable in his explanation that he knew his "craft" quite well - I didnt even feel the "shot" and almost fell asleep during the procedure! Also, Dr. Maher allowed me to make monthly payments on the remaining amount due that the insurance didnt cover. Three years later, I start experiencing a problem with the same tooth. I called his office and made an appointment to meet with Dr. Maher again. Dr. Maher took an x-ray of the tooth and explained to me the diagnosis. The circumstance with my tooth, unfortunately, was due to my predispostion of problems relating to not very strong teeth due to hereitary conditions and of a double root in that tooth which only 10-20% of the population have. This would possibly give me "double trouble" on this tooth which Dr. Maher explained to me prior to the first procedure. Of course, this is not my choice this is the genetic code I was born with!! Without hesitation, Dr. Maher scheduled me to come back for another procedure to "save" this tooth. He did a wonderful job! It did take 2 more appointments, but he conveyed general care and concern to my feelings on how important it is to me to do what we can to save this tooth! Also, the dental hygentist ladies that assisted him during the x-rays and procedures were very nice, understanding and were very professional. I would recommend Dr. Maher highly to anyone considering having a root canal!
