Provided by YP.comSome shady characters/customers come in here. But the workmanship is worth it. They really take the time needed and work until the work is done. Left very satisfied and will be back for a touch up and then a take down. Getting a lot of compliments. These women are professionals.

Provided by YP.comI had a horrible experience with this service as I made an appointment over one week in advance to have my braids taken down along with calling the day before to confirm my appointment all to get there, wait one hour because noone could recall my appointment. Once I was asked to sit in the chair, the lady (with the young child) was very rude as she was using the scissors to not only cut out the weave but also MY HAIR! Once I brought it to her attention, her response was very rude and unprofessional. After cutting through 3 braids, she asked if I could come back tomorrow. I didn't understand this since I previously made an appointment. Needless to say, I left and didn't even think about returning the next day..... or any day for that matter. They really need to learn professionalism and customer service!

Provided by YPmobileAfter doing my research & reading reviews for braiding shop. I decide to get me S. twist here even after reading the recent review. Base on the fact after reading every reviews from other shops. I found none of them had rave reviews . I 'm glad I followed my own advice. My twists are very nice & neat. It's only been a week but I haven't lost one yet . But mind you I did look @ their company policy posted it does states if you loose any braids within 1or 2 wks. They will replace. My appointment was @ nine they arrive 10 minutes later. Was not a big deal for me. I will suggest not to do a walk in or a same day call in. They will have to work you in. The shop was clean. The ladies were professional. The price is the usually for S. twist. I over heard the quotes for other type of braids it was the usual price you should expect to pay. Another benefit they have hair there. Hopefully you're not into crayon color hair. If so you might need to bring your hair. Mind you I don't think that will take your price down , I got my twist a long length so I will be able to do different styles. So it took about 8 hrs. Only negative I can report is . First let me say I admire there determination in working under certain restriction . But @ the end of the day I might have been there maybe an hour or so less if the baby stayed @ home. Thank my lucky stars my braider baby was a little older & behave fairly well . Other than this small issue for me . I would highly recommend this shop.

Provided by YPmobileGot the senegalese twist on 3/21/14 and had to return less than a week later to get the middle and the back of my head retwisted because Touba sister left lots of my hair out of the twist and instead her gathering my loose strands or hair and twisting it she cut my hair. This was by far the absolute worst hair experience I ever had. STAY AWAY DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Provided by YP.comLet me preface this review by stating I am a mid -40 professional woman in the process of going 'natural'. With that being said, I received Senegalese twist on Saturday June 15 and I am truly amazed at the quality of work. I had been wearing a short cut, longer on top with maybe an inch in the back at the shortest point. These ladies braided every strand! I have read other reviews stating the salon is not professional because of excessive phone use and conversations with each other; I disagree with that statement. Sure they talked on the phone and to other stylist and customers for that matter, however it had no impact on the time spent braiding my hair. Honestly what else can one expect when the stylist is braiding for 8 hours!
I highly recommend this salon and will be returning - Special thanks to Maria!!

Provided by YPmobileI was scheduled for Senegalese Twists for 9AM. Touba did not start on my hair until 11. The reason for this was because she needed to "take breakfast". She stayed on her phone the entire time talking and texting, which prolonged the process. Another employee came in to assist and it still took forever because they were either talking to each other, on the phone, or taking a break.

Provided by YPmobileMy experience here was awesome! They were on time and took breaks very accordingly. My Senegalese twist look great! I will be returning here in the future. The only.problem I had was the lady who did my hair was on the phone way too much but she got the job done and I am very satisfied.

Provided by YP.comMy visit with touba African hair braiding was mediocre. It was like I was at someone's house getting my hair done.she was unprofessional to say the least. The whole time she was in my head she was on the phone with her boyfriend, calling him baby and laughing; on the phone with friends which made her take longer with my hair then she should have.. Then hours later when she's almost finished sewing in my tracks she runs out of thread and ask me if I drive. I had to drive her around the corner in MY car to get some thread. If you are as professional as your name says you would have been stocked up with all your supplies. BUT.. I have to give her credit she did a wonderful job with my weave, I was very pleased with the end result. So if you don't mind the unprofessional atmosphere, I do recommend. However, I won't be going back if I'm going to go to a salon I expect for them to be PROFESSIONAL. If you value a professional atmosphere... I DO NOT recommend touba's unprofessional African hair braiding.

Provided by YP.comI just went to go get my microbraids done here a week or so ago, and so far atleast 5 have fallen out (not including the ones around the edges) and I'm already wanting to take them out. The lady who did my hair was named Rose. DO NOT LET THIS WOMAN DO YOUR BRAIDS. She used too much hair, and even when I asked her if she would need more, she said NO. So 12 hours later, when she was almost done, she had to scramble around to find "spare hair" around the shop. I have a few brown braids in my hair, and bought black hair. I am SO upset that I wasted good money on HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I'm NEVER going back there again and if you're reading this review, neither should you

Provided by YP.comI got microbraids from a girl named Angel twice at Jumelle's and she is the best. She is very professional and does not take several breaks like some of the other braiders and she also does not have any children to mind at the shop. I would advise anyone that is looking to go to Jumelle to request Angel. Also, most of the other girls do hair well, but I think she is the best. I have kinda long, thick hair that has taken upto 14hrs with other Africans, but she took only eleven this second time! This may seem like a long time, but im sure you know that perfection can take a long time!. I gave Jumelle African Braiding 4 stars instead of 5 because I have to account for the other employees that may only deserve 3 or 4 stars, but Angel deserves 5 stars.
