Dr. Andrew Love founded Webster Groves Animal Hospital, P.C. on May 31, 1965. Initially Dr. & Mrs. Love ran the practice themselves in a small, two-story building. In 1984, the hospital was accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and joined an elite group of hospitals dedicated to providing pets with quality medical care. By meeting AAHA standards for comprehensive professional services, Webster Groves Animal Hospital, P.C. confirms the high standards that have always beenparamount in this practice. The new facility, at more than sixteen thousand square feet, has two floors big enough to house the ever-growing veterinarian staff, including two Board Certified Veterinary Practitioners. The new building, with two large parking lots, a large waiting room and a community room for public meetings offers more convenience for our clients and patients. Holiday Hours: 9 AM to 4 PM

Everyone is always so scared of my dog because he’s a pit, this hospital was soooo very comfortable with him and didn’t blink an eye to help him. I will ALWAYS bring him here before taking him anywhere else.

Dr. Lady & Kate were professional, kind and so knowledgeable. My 2 yr old kitten had an enlarged heart & they treated me & my kitten with compassion. I could not be there to hold my kitten when she was put to sleep. Kate, said some words to my kitten & touched her little nose, just as I do, so my kitten would know her mommy sent a message. All of the vets, as well as Kate, were absolutely wonderful to me, during such an awful and unexpected time. I highly recommend Dr. Lady, Kate & of the other vets. ♥️🐾🐾. Thank you for all of your help Dr. Lady & Kate.

This place I’ve given several chances. 9/10 times it’s terrible.

They told me to come in at 6 for tail doc’ and dew claws. I get there and I have no appointment, they didn’t actually schedule me. So I waited with 3 day old puppies in a toxic environment for 2+ hours.

I finally make it back there and the doctor looks morally dead. He has no happiness and then asked me where I wanted the tails doc’ed? After conversations with the doctor he doesn’t normally do cosmetic elective surgery for show animals.

So I get home and take off the bandages the surgery on the dews are horrid, I could of done better with fingernail clippers. He ripped off one toe from one of my dogs, lucky for me before I could even formally complain all my dogs but one died within 24-36 hours of leaving the facility. I’m sure it’s just circumstances and it had nothing to do with the exposure of my new born puppies.

I’m just never happy leaving this place I feel more harm has come my way then they have helped. I should of planned ahead with a repeatable company.

I had one dog live.

So now I’m in the waiting room I have an appointment for later in the day and I call ahead asking if I can get in early for a vaccination, they said they would wrk me in and come on in.

They sent me to a building that’s not open first of all, then I’ve been here for 90 mins after an hour I decided to write this review. It’s a vaccination they can literally stab the dog while I’m checking out, no vet is required.

But they scammed and slammed with with a special litter package that discounts everything so it made me have a false since of security that I keep regretting over and over.

Not to mention, the people coming in here have no control of their animals and let them jump, crawl, lick all over you.

As of now I would stay away unless your dogs has no other options, and needs to be put down because that’s the only positive reviews from this place I have read.

Had my dog euthanized 4/15/17 and from my initial visit on 4/13/17 everyone was extremely professional and awesome. The vet explained everything, and gave us all of our options. When we decided on euthanasia she assured us, and seemed relieved we made the right decision. The following night I brought her in @ 12:45 am for the procedure. The receptionist was great and very sympathetic. The girls who helped me bring " Lucy" in were great, and finally the doctor who euthanized her was very kind and did a wonderful job. Great job WGAH

I would give it a zero if I could. My 6 month old miniature dachshund went in for a foreign object obstruction. Surgery was performed. She was not recovering well and I was told it was a slow recovery. I was told about possible leakage from the site but no one did a ultrasound or sample. Our angel laid there and died of sepsis for 3 days. Then when I wanted to retrieve her for cremation I was made pay our huge bill before they would release her body. They have broken my entire family's hearts including my 5 year old daughter. She should not have to deal with this. I believe her death could have been prevented with proper after surgery care. There are no words to describe my sadness and disappointment with this facility. Nothing will bring our girl back. She was one of a kind and the light of our lives.

I'm a first time visitor of this clinic when I had a 3 A.M. emergency with my dog. We were promptly triaged with no wait at all. The vet took great care of my pet, ran an X-ray and accurately diagnosed the medical condition. The prices were reasonable so no complaints from me! I was grateful they were there when I needed them.

I took my beloved pet in after he was attacked by two, much larger dogs. The waiting room was packed when we walked in and my heart sank, knowing that he would have to wait in such pain. I was surprised to find that they triage and Carl was given immediate attention. As he was taken into a room, I was asked a series of questions by the gentleman at intake and was impressed by his ability to remain calm as I was coming unglued. As I waited, I observed the staff and how efficiently they managed the full room. The technician that took my boy in for treatment was great about communicating Carl's progress and what was being done to care for him. In the end, Carl received 3 staples to his skull, as the dogs had fractured it. His puncture wounds were cleaned and he was put on pain meds and antibiotics. Carl has made a full recovery and I am so thankful to the great people that took care of not only him, but me as well!

Webster is very proficient, but feels more like a factory than personal service. I took my pets here for years, but I want someone who knows my pets & knows me. That level of care is missing, but they are proficient and are still my go to for after hours care

Had to have our dog put to sleep today. I called not once but twice to verify everything including price. I was told the cost was $65. Unless we wanted her ashes back. So I go in have her put to sleep and then told the price was $190. I asked about the added fee. Was told that is a care if remains fee. I asked why I wasn't told about that all they could say was sorry.

The front desk staff are the absolute worst and you will wait hours, even if you have an appointment and pay a lot more than most STL vets. They lost my dog's ashes after I paid extra to have them returned to me. I've gone here for years for 3 dogs and 4 cats because the vets are good and they're open 24/7 but I'll never, ever return after my latest extremely heartbreaking experience. No one even apologized. To Webster, you're just a dollar sign. Well, you're many, many dollar signs.

Caution! Get 2nd opinion before following through on their recommendations for treatment and procedures. They will try to string you along so you pay more. We got a 2nd opinion on our dog after they suggested seeing their specialist and doing a rhinoscope that would have cost $2,300.00. By getting a 2nd opinion we ended up spending $400 for a cure. Their specialist is very irrogant and uncaring. Be very cautious with this place.

They destroyed my dog! They convinced me to let them keep my beloved 9 year old Boston Terrier for two days for evaluation. They said she had unusual things going on with her blood work. She was healthy before bringing her to Webster Groves Animal Hospital. By time I got her home ($1000 later) they had her on insulin, she began eating hear own stool and drinking her own urine. She went blend shortly after that from the insulin and her last days of quality of life were horrible! She eventually died of a stroke. I totally blame Webster Groves Animal Hospital and will never forgive myself for taking her there! I don't know what they did to here, but they destroyed a perfectly healthy dog! I will never forget this as long as I live and I will never forgive myself for taking her there. They took years off her life!

This place has the worst customer service ever. We took our puppy who was severely sick they didn't look at her thoroughly ran a blood test and said the results would be back by the following day. 36hrs later still no word. Bottom line THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMAL!

No substitutions

We chose WGAH when we brought our puppy home and 6 years later we have kept going back. Whether it is for routine checkups, or panicking "parents", we trust all the staff to handle our dogs care.
