Established in 1801 in the basement of the Presbyterian Church, St. Marys Elementary has an enrollment of more than 500 students in prekinderagrten through grade five. Its staff includes various teachers and support staff consisting of a principal, assistant principal, instructional lead teacher and guidance counselor. It also has paraprofessionals who work with the teachers directly in the classrooms and additional support staff consisting of office, lunchroom and custodial staff. It offers various academic programs, such as reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Its sports activities include soccer, football, softball and track. The school is a part of Camden County Schools, a school district that is operated by the Camden County Board of Education. The elementary school is located in St. Marys, Ga.
