I have been in the traditional insurance based healthcare system for 34 years. I know its strengths and weaknesses. Now in a Direct Primary Care practice I am committed to eliminating the middle man of insurance and offering you transparency in cost of medications, labs, office visits and radiology. This membership based practice means you can budget your care and know you will always get the same doctor. I can also make sure you can be seen the same day or next working day if you need a visit. I graduated from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983. I met my wife Pam during my internship as we cared for severely ill patients in the intensive are unit. Together we have had 4 children who we are very proud of and they have blessed us with 4 grandkids. My passions have tended towards medical politics where I have been involved in state and national healthcare issues. In the osteopathic profession I have served on multiple committees including the professions "School Board" and national testing organization. I have also taught many medical students through the years. After practicing in the Twin Cities for 30 years we moved to the Lakes Area and now I have the freedom to open a new type of practice which focuses on a personal relationship between patient and physician unlike any mega clinic can offer.
