I was in a situation recently where I had to order a violin without playing it. The only company to talk me through my selection and really give me a knowledgable opinion was Fein Stringed Instruments. Every time I called on the phone someone answered who was friendly and very smart about strings. When the instrument arrived it was perfect, in great condition, and exactly the tone and quality described on the phone. Also, I got a tuner/metronome, and a t-shirt, and a free case, and a pernambuco bow at no charge. They are wonderful to work with and I will be making more purhases in the near future (their instrument and music stands are BEAUTIFUL as well).
