I have followed Doug around St. Paul for 25 years. He has restored paints, mounted sculptures, and framed at least 30 prints and paintings. Absolutely the best shop in town. The owner Doug is not simply a framer but an artist and gallery owner. He brings an artists eye to frame and mat selection. I trust his advice with plein air oils, Asian water colors, graphic prints, photographs and everything else I have. And if he is busy when you get there, his gallery of Minnesota plein air artists makes the wait fly by.

Grand hill gallery is a very good business. I've seen restored paints he's done. Great job on framing some artwork for me, at very reasonable prices. He currently has an oil painting with a tear in it that i know he will fix and fix it right. He also sells oils from local artists.
