This place is everything I love about a precious metals shop. Buying bullion and coins isn't about getting pinky-out Rolex foot massage service while you try on fancy hats. Stop in, talk to a surly shop owner who has weathered the ups and downs of the metals market, proving expertise, passion and staying power. A shop that offers a wide variety because people who know what they're talking about sell their collections to people who know what they're talking about. Highly recommend.

I drove to Grove Coin from Wisconsin. The first time was on a Saturday and I couldnt find the store. I called but I was informed they were closed for the day. The second time I persisted and asked at Old Navy where the store was as the address 8306 is on the door to Old Navy. The clerk didnt know but he checked with his manager. It seems the store next door is also 8306. I walked in but no Grove Coin. The store appears to be a jewelry store. So I asked a salesperson for Grove Coin. She ducked into a back room and yelled. "Ed, you have a customer" a few minutes later this guy comes out. No introduction, greeting whatsoever just, "what are you looking for". Well quite frankly I was interested in a roll of silver eagles but I had a few questions about them as I am new to collecting silver. In addition I was looking for some advice on a collection of Indian Head cents. Possibly a few reference books to help my knowledge of coins. But when I said I was interested in silver eagles and we were still standing at the counter of the jewelry store with two saleswomen, Ed said, "How many". Now that was a shorter presentation than I expected. My first thought was at least on the internet you can usually see a picture of the product you are buying. I headed directly back to Wisconsin.

Paul has been a great help to me in my coin collecting, he has taken the time to educate me in what to look for in buying coins. I have bought form Paul and he has looked at a few coins that I brought in for his opinion. Some of the coins he told me to buy others not to buy and the reason. A stand up GUY in my opinion

I was looking to sell some unwanted gold jewelry and came across a KARE11 story about the best gold buyers in the Twin Cities. Grove Coin came highly recommended for having the best prices. I decided to take my gold jewelry there and it was a complete waste of time. Located in a small boutique in Tamarack Village, his "office" is a dark back room reeking of smoke. Mess of papers and coins everywhere. If you want the best prices, I recommend The Gold Guys at Woodbury Lakes. They have a "meet and beat" price guarantee.

Ihave been selling coins to grove for about a year,they have always been very respectfull and often help me with questions I have about coins I have been to several coin buyers in twin cities area and Grove by far is the best they give it to you strait and pay you for what the market is at I would highly recommend their services at the Woodbury location.

Stay away, paul had little if any interest in helping us. when we asked about a special coin he said i would have to tell him how much i wanted to spend on it before he would even bring one out to look at. shouldn't it be the other way around?? go elsewhere..

I brought in some ancient coins that my grandfather gave me and instead if helping me or being polite, the owner just told me they weren't worth anything in their current condition and walked in the back room. He was very unprofessional and unfriendly. I was particularly upset because i traveled 15 miles for him to tell me that. I will never visit his business again because of the way i was treated.

I had a bad experience with owner Paul. Very abrupt, brisk and not interested in helping me. There are other places that buy and sell coins, gold and jewelery. Next time I'd go to their competitor.
