I've brought my boats to Maplewood Marine on several occasions over the years. I've run used Johnsons for years and the main man at Maplewood Marine could get and keep those Johnsons hummin.I brought my latest boat there for winterizing and storage and it has a Mercury four-stroke on it.He winterized the Merc and wrapped and stored my pontoon at a reasonable rate.No problems. He may not be warm and fuzzy, but I'll take that when I know I'll get competent and timely service.

i called to simply asked if they have a website so i can check out their inventory. some guy answered and said "no" harshly. i then asked if they sell used boats and what they have in inventory because right above it states that they sell used boats. He then again said "no we dont do any of that, just service" in a very annoyed-like manner. it was a simple question and in all return i just want a simple answer.

I have dealt with the folks at Maplewood Marine since the mid 80's. They have answered every reasonable question that I have ever asked and tried to help me with the problem over the phone when that might work. I have always had prompt and courteous service. They got me back on the water sooner than I thought possible and this includes some major repairs. I trust them so much that when I moved to Ely MN I continue to bring my boat down to them for any problems that I can't fix myself. Buy a boat or motor from them and you will see for yourself.

I've tried to deal with this dealership a couple times I own my own business and if I spoke to people the way that they treated me (once in person and once on the phone) I would not have any customers. If I'm correct it was the owner who pretty much threatened me and said to come down there or give him my address and he would take care of me and not in the way a customer would want. I asked a simple question about a motor he had just sold and he turned into a arrogant jerk . I guess I will keep going to Nelsons Marine its longer drive but they take great care of their customers. Good luck to anyone whom deals with Maplewood Marine.

Two years ago, I picked up an old boat and motor from 1961 that ran but wouln't hold mixture settings. The guy at maplewood not only figured out what parts I needed, but took me to the shop to show me how to make the repair using a similar model they had opened up. After the 15 minute install with less than $10 in parts, it ran like a champ. Now there's a fuel delivery problem under load and I'm headed back. Great guys. Five stars in my opinion.

I have been using Maplewood Marine for my boating needs since the early 1980's. They stand behind what they do and they won't steer you wrong. I have been very pleased with their sales and service. I bought my last boat and motor there and use them for parts and service. I am very satisfied with their work.
