Mark S., 11/21/2013EditI am an antique and jewelry dealer for 33 years. Do not take your diamonds to David Reynolds. I had them remount a large stone and the fractured it . These things happen sometimes when setting stones. When I brought the ring back they would not even look at it. The told me I was fired as a customer and not to come back. That spoke volumes to me . My GIA appraiser saw the stone before and after setting. It's just too... view more bad we didn't plot the stone before I left it with them. Mind you , they REFUSED to even look at it .Shane , the new owner is nothing like the original owners. I my 33 years as a dealer , no one has ever been so rude to me . BEWARE !

My experience with David Reynolds Jewelers was outstanding. I had the pleasure of working with Sherry to both sell and purchase jewelry. She was patient, knowledgeable, meticulous and extremely helpful in answering questions and assisting in choosing a new setting for my stone. The atmosphere in the store is friendly, welcoming and without any sales pressure. Highly recommended.

Mark, I understand that you are very upset with us and on a KILL DAVID REYNOLDS campaign. If your frustration is really based on thinking that we damaged your stone, we didn't. We spoke with your appraiser and even she told you that it's not likely that we caused the damage.



Yes I'm Shane Socash G.G. (GIA) the new owner. I have been an employee of David Reynolds for 14 years and now the founder Earl Waters works here (for me:) 40 hours a week as a mentor, a business advisor, and a friend. Things are very much the same as they've always been.



Ultimately Mark, you were dismissed as a customer not because of this one accusation, but because of a history since 2006 (as far back as our computer records go) of you creating a stink and then looking for some kind of financial adjustment.

I had a difficult time finding your site for my review. I have dealt with David Reynolds for over 5 years now. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Sherry who is very knowledgeable and is always delightful when doing business with her. She is an asset to this company.

David Reynolds Jewelry is the worst jeweler I have ever encountered. Horrifying experience. Bought a custom $600 dollar ring. It was supposed to be a recreation of a ring I had lost. The ring I received was all wrong. The jeweler was extremely rude and unwilling to fix the mistakes he had made. So I was forced to take the ring that was not made to the specifications I had ordered.



As if that wasn't enough the stone on my ring cracked the second day I wore it. So I took the ring back in to the store, thinking that they would of course replace the faulty stone for free, they pretty much laughed in my face and told me was my fault and that I would have to pay another $120 to replace the stone. So then I would've been $720 out and who knows if the new stone would break again. Now all I'm left with is a $600 whole in my bank account and a broken ring. Don't waste your money! Find a different jeweler.
