I was calling around to a couple different places to see how much a pound or two of freon would be with a service call. Well the man that answered the phone said that they could not just go out and add a pound of freon! I think this is ludacris, only because every year the same thing happens with my unit and a company comes out and puts a shot of freon in it and it works fine after that.

Well this gentleman at Midway said that they can not add any freon without a leak check first! I said ok, well how much would a leak check cost. He told me any where from $200.00 - $300.00. Needless to say I was a bit frustrated and thought this just did not seem right. I called another company and sure enough they came out and added two pounds of freon and my unit works fine now.



I am an elderly woman on a fixed income so $200.00 - $300.00 I could not afford! It also would have been a waste of money!! Midway sure seems like a scam, please no one else waste your money.
