Provided by YP.comWe live in a rural area and the Internet speed is nothing like what you would get in a big city, but that was okay, until we realized we were being lied to about speed. We were being charged for a speed that wasn't possible. Internet speed is never as fast as they say it is. Plus, they have taken advantage of the rural areas and are charging more that Charter Cable with 10 x faster service!!! The customer service is HORRIBLE! No one, not even the manager returns calls, frequent outages-like 3 a week. It's ridiculous that we have been taken advantage of like we have. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB to get a refund for the overage on Internet speed. I am filing a formal complaint with corporate office and I am writing a review wherever I can. I am also leaving a negative experience review on Angies List.

Provided by YP.comWe pay $100 a month for 10 Mbps download and 1.8 Mbps upload plus modem rental. My friends that have Comcast get 50+ Mbps down and over 10 Mbps up and only pay $40 a month. So Cable America is 2-5 times the national average and is guaranteed the worst ISP I have ever done business with. They do have one tech that I like who actually tries to improve the service when he comes, but he is no match for a crap network in general. Many of the techs have said that the network is severely flawed and outdated, yet Cable America feels justified in gouging customers due to a lack of competition in the area. Centurylink is the only other alternative in my area and their service is more reliable, but they will rob you blind the first chance they get. With Cable America you can expect constant outages and subpar performance especially during the winter. When you call to complain they get snotty with you on the phone and if you try to call the corporate office they do not return your calls. This is one company to avoid if you can.

Provided by YPmobileThe title says it all. On hold for 1h 54m before I hung up. Daily issues with cable's audio and picture often pixelated. We dropped their internet last December, will cancel the cable. This was the last straw.

Provided by YP.comHorrible! Just checked my download speed this week, was .89 Mbps, paying $29.95 per month, checked internet, should be getting 10 Mbps according to their pricing. I called to complain and was told that was for new customers only. Asked if I could cancel and then become a new customer for a third of the price and was told I had to stop service for at least 3 months.
