Provided by YP.comI know first hand that the staff at Capitol Dental Care go out of their way to help their clients. They do have restraints put on them by the Oregon Health Plan and have to stay within those boundaries, which is of course understandable. The people that work there have a very difficult job and they truly care about people.. I have seen them go above and beyond for a patient many times, but as with all of us in this life, there are some things out of their control. I recommend them for their professional and caring attitude.

Provided by YP.comThis is the WORST dental insurance I have EVER experienced!!!!! AVOID - AVOID - AVOID - We have this plan through the Oregon Health Plan and it is VERY UNFORTUNATE that the Oregon Health Plan chose them. I am going to share my horrible experience with every authority I can to get them to be accountable for their terrible practices. The dentists that they offer to give health care provide sub-par service. I had a terrible abscess that the dentist they told me that I had to see informed me I WOULD HAVE DIED if I didn't get treated immediately because I had decay that was infected into the root. After waiting 4 hours to be seen, I finally saw this dentist who put me on antibiotics. I was in excruciating pain and didn't even get a prescription for pain! I only had Advil to take at home over the entire weekend and this didn't help at all. It was over the entire weekend that I suffered with ice packs and Advil and it was just terrible! So I immediately called this dentist back on Monday, who Capital Dental proudly referred to ask about getting a prescription for pain medicine. They didn't fax the RX over until the next day, so I suffered for another 48 hours on top of the weekend that already passed. It was the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life and I am 50 years old, so I have been through a lot. Then, when it was finally time to pull the tooth, the dentist was out sick and they had NO replacement dentist. So, I went with a different dentist to get the tooth pulled because I couldn't wait any longer with this nightmare. I paid out of pocket, because I know that Capitol Dental in Salem pays for extractions, so I thought I would send in the claim form myself after I paid over $300 for the extraction. THEN, to make things worse, Capital Dental tries to DENY paying me back for the reimbursement, because they said I had to stay with the dentist in their network, regardless of the sub-par care I received, regardless as to whether or not the dentist was out sick and couldn't take care of me. I have no choice but to file grievances at every level with this insurance company. And I am not stopping with this review either. Insurance companies like this should NOT be allowed to stay in business and continue to take advantage of poor disadvantaged citizens. I am one who will not tolerate this type of abuse.
