Provided by YP.comI saw Dr. Karst a year ago. And I really want to pass this on so someone else does not end up paying for unnecessary dental work by this dentist. I am saying this without any malice and will just state the facts so you can make up your own mind. His office is lovely and his staff very friendly. His hygenist who did the exam and cleaned my teeth was very pleasant and knowledgable and honest.
They took xrays and did the cleaning and exam. The xrays showed no cavities and the probing also proved no cavaties. I had a chip off tooth in the back.
After the hygenist did her part, the Dr came in and sat down, asked about my insurance and how good it was. He then did a quick exam. He "found a cavity". The look on the Hygenist face said it all. She said, "there are no cavities". And he said, oh you missed one right here. "Schedule her to get it fixed." He then said I would need $1,500 to fix the chipped tooth. He also said I nneded deals on my teeth as they had worn off. He then asked if I like my teeth and I said yes. I was not looking for "artwork" like he describes. He then said something so inappropriate, "Since I do not make money off of people like you, I am asking you to do one thing for me." "I would like you to pass out my brochure to at least two of your friends." I was shocked. I was never asked to do marketing for any Dr. and I am also in the medical field and am aware of what is appropriate.
I went to my former dentist in another town and asked him to do the same exam. In short, there were no cavaties. And they do not put seals on anyone older than 12 years old. And the $1,500 to put a crown on my broken tooth? All it needed was a $75.00 filling.
Please, please...think twice before making an appointment with this dentist.
He seemed only concerned with making money and unnecessary procedures.
Good luck and blessings to you!

Provided by YP.comI went to him when he was running promotion for implant and crown at $999 each. I was a little nervous, but it turned out fine. I've had the crown on the implant for one month now, and everything was fine. Getting the implant took about one hour, finishing off with the crown took half an hour 2 weeks later. He certainly knew what he was doing, so were his assistants, who were nicer than him. His equipment is somewhat outdated, with flushing water dripping to my neck both times.
