I’ve been raving about The Home Depot for years about how awesome they are and how great they treat Veteran’s, BUT today...

Today I was disappointed to learn that at one particular Home Depot store, I could not receive the Veteran discount, because I did not possess a ‘special’ military ID card.

Yes, Home Depot, my Oregon State issued driver’s license, with my hard earned Veteran status right on the card was NOT accepted to receive the 10% military discount.

I was told that with the status on my driver’s license, I could only receive the discount on holidays. So I have to ask, am I only a Veteran on holidays?

You have an awesome reserved parking sign in the parking lot for Veteran’s, yet fail to honor a state issued ID, in which I had to prove my Veteran status via displaying my DD214 and other documents to get added to my license.

To have it proudly added to my license.

I Am very disheartened to learn that my Veteran status, after serving 8 yrs active duty, was not recognized today, simply because my status was printed on my driver’s license and I did not have one if the fancy ID’s on your list.

@HomeDepot I challenge you to honor ALL veteran’s EVERYDAY!🇺🇸
