I have been to this store twice. BOTH times, I was accosted by Nazi Managers who get all huffy with me and tell me that I cannot bring my mobility scooter into the store. I then have to argue with them that, "YES, it IS allowed per the Americans with Disabilities Act!" https://www.ada.gov/opdmd.htm

Do these people get ANY training? If you live in Salem, you've seen an old guy on a Segway and sucking on an oxygen hose. If you see him smile, you'll notice that his smile is only on his right side. I'm not a young kid on an exploding "hoverboard" out for a joyride, I'm a disabled old man with Emphysema, heart disease and Multiple Sclerosis trying to stay mobile.

Obviously, this store would prefer that I leave my scooter at the door and CRAWL around the store, or wait for hours for one of their tank-like "old fart carts" (If for some rare reason that they are actually CHARGED up).

First time this happened, I was told that they would talk to staff and update their policy. 5 years ago!

Called the Photo Department 3 ...

Called the Photo Department 3 times directly, no one answers and phone goes dead after a time. Called the store directly and was transfered to the Photo Department and got the same results (even with overhead paging). Asked for manager and they informed me they were working on repairing the phones in that department but should pick up in one minute guaranteed. (Silence for 4 minutes.) Upon calling back again, I got through with the help of the wonderfully apologetic operator and the manager again. FINALLY someone answered (after 41 minutes of calling and 10 phone calls). [I'm patient and wanted to see how long it would take.]

It was THEN that I was told by the young lady in that department she had just returned from break. [Apparently she's the ONLY one working that department.] She said there were people waiting in line when she returned. I informed her that TELEPHONE CALLS should WAIT IN LINE too and if a call came in when there were TWO people in line, that she should inform any additional people that there is a customer on the telephone that is waiting their turn and she'll be with them after the call.

This department is poorly staffed and doesn't have anyone who can help when everyone is on break. Phone etiquette is POOR and only seems to give priority to IN STORE customers.

===========

I only give GOLD STARS ☆☆☆☆ to the store OPERATOR who was kind, sympathetic, apologetic, and more professional.
