I have not had a problem with this recycling center. They take lots of things other cities don't. I like the fact that Salina recycles, I just wish their curbside service was better. Where I came from everyone received a large wheeled container and they picked up every other week. Every address was charged for this service whether they used it or not. The drawback - they didn't recycle but the basics (plastic, aluminum, and glass). And Abilene KS service is the best - it is a drive thru and they will remove, empty, and return tubs for you!

Worst service ever!!! The tall gentleman older male with glasses is rude and borderline 5150! He screamed and yelled that he would not accept an item that he agreed to accept over the phone. After driving over 40 mins to find the dumpy building behind some creepy alley and railroad tracks we were turned away. He was aggressive and actually got in my face.....I was SHOCKED! It was something out of twilight zone. He talked down to us and denied any acceptance of recycle materials he already agreed to accept. We didn't want money just a nice place to recycle. He actually said go back to doing what you do whatever that is! And my response was well I served my country and he was very condinsending towards veterans. He is off his rocker and if I were you I'd find some place else to save the earth!
