Chemical Lime Company is one of the leaders in lime-based products and services. Limestone, quicklimes, blended quicklimes, hydrated limes and lime slurry are among the company s products. In 1981, the Lhoist Group, one of Europe's leading lime producers, made an initial investment in Chemical Lime Company. By 1989, the Brussels, Belgium, company had purchased the majority interest in Chemical Lime Company. Lhoist Group acquired full ownership of the company in 1998. This provided Chemical Lime Company with a significant opportunity for expansion and growth. Chemical Lime Company was founded in 1966, with the purchase of its first quarry near Clifton, Texas. The company operates lime quarries throughout the United States, including Salinas, Calif.
