Washington Middle School serves students in grades seven through nine. The school has various departments, including computers, social studies, science, English, mathematics, art, special education, reading, physical education, music and industrial arts. Its athletic department offers several sports, such as basketball, flag football, ping-pong, soccer, softball, speedball and volleyball. The institutions annual activities include the Christmas play, play day, Roman banquet, school dances, science fairs, spring play and student talent assemblies. It has a library, computer lab and playground for students. The school offers medical facilities and its staff includes doctors, nurses and health technicians. Washington Middle School was established in 1937, and is located in Salinas, Calif.
