Provided by YP.comWe can't say enough nice things about this wonderful boarding facility. After living in a small town in the south for 25 years, we relocated to the Ann Arbor area 18 months ago, and had no idea where to start when looking for a place to board our dog. We found Bridgewater from a search and loved its location in the country; So we decided to give it a try. Our dog adores her time at Bridgewater so much that when she sees her kennel being put in the car, she knows she is headed to the country to spend time with Teri and all the lovely folks at Bridgewater. (our dog stays with them once a month, at least). They treat her as if she were their own. Our dog is a rescue, and can be apprehensive about new situations, so this says so much about how she feels about her multiple visits/stays there, given her challenging history. We can't think of a better place for her to be when we are away. Teri, the owner, is very responsive, and a good communicator. She is a true animal lover, and a vet tech who has access to vet care 24/7, if needed for any reason. We trust she and her staff completely. The facility is spotless, and homey at the same time. We highly recommend Bridgewater, our dog and we, are completely satisfied.

Provided by YP.comI read Monica's post and the owner's response when researching facilities to board my dog. Anyone can have a bad day, let alone emergencies. I rehab dogs and horses and understand accidents do happen even under the best of circumstances. That being said, I chose to give Bridgewater a chance. My dog is a rescue pitbull as a bait dog from a fighting ring. She's never been away from me in the 7 years I've had her. She was completely rehabilitated but you never know what can happen given the right circumstances. Her history and complete medical record were made available to Bridgewater. I made sure to take the time to speak with them in person and allow my dog to transition to this environment before leaving on vacation for a week. They were able to see her and her demeanor with other animals. Although she is fully trained and responds to commands in 3 languages, it still takes the right energy to control in the right situations. The wrong dog with an aggressive manor could trigger anything. They took their time to listen to me and pay attention. I wasn't sure how she would act as this was all new to us both. Well everything was fine! She was boarded up front closer to the office where it was warmer (that week was -25 degrees) and they had her out and worked with her. I know this to be true because they told me how she acted when out of the kennel. While it's true they aren't in the building 24 hours, you will be hard pressed to find a place where someone actually IS in a boarding facility that long. Only in a 24 hr emergency vet office will you find that. She had a small scrape on her nose that was scabbed over and it was brought to my attention as soon as I came to get her. It was unknown how it came to be but supposed to be from trying to get under the doggie door to the outside yard. It was not only plausible, but in my mind probable. I wasn't there for Monica's situation. But after my contact with Bridgewater, I feel Monica's frustration at being inconvenienced led to a negative comment and not due to any negligence on the part of Bridgewater. After all, if it was YOUR pet, you'd want to know that they were handling an emergency situation. The health and well being of ANYBODY'S pet would come first over my inconvenience. I WILL use them again. They did right by me and my dog. Their rates are lower than most and knowing a vet tech is there comforts me. Everyone is different in their view. My view: pets health and safety 1st. I can wait.

Provided by YPmobileIn response to monicas review...I first would like to appologize for her inconvience. I apologize for the delay or thirty minutes as I was indeed in canada with no phone service. With that said, my highly trained and responsible staff have been trained that pet welfare and safety are TOP priority. Madalyne was at a local vet with a emergency. Afterthought she might have left a note explaining the situation, however sparkles health was at the priority and getting a person to cover pick up was secondary. I wish she could have called to complain rather than post a negative comment without backstory. Im convinced that of her pup was the one in danger she would have expected no less. We have a pre printed note got posting in case of emergency in the future. And the fact is the timing was awful as I have not taken a day off in a year and a half much less out of country. . New procedures have been put in place thanks to this post. ..I only wish we had talked personally about this exceptional situation. . Once again I appologize for her inconvenience. And side note Sparkle is doing well and home with her owner. .. Teri Campbell owner. 517-795-5629

Provided by YP.comI took my lab there for a daycare session. I was very disappointed in the facility. Communication is bad, they did not give my dog his mid-day treats, no one was there when it was time to pick him up at 5pm. After yelling into the facility through an unlocked door many times, "Hello, I am here to get my dog", there was still no answer. I called the phone # and I could hear the phone ringing, I called the owners cell # and even texted her. After 30 minutes of trying to get ahold of someone, I went in and got my dog myself, as the cost was free for a first time stay. These people leave the facility, no telling for how long. My dog will never go to Bridgewater Pet Boarding again. I have to give a star rating in order to post this, otherwise I wouldn't even give them a star.
