Cloninger Ford took excellent care of me when I bought a new Ford Escape and have been there for all of my service needs.

I had my worst experience In 40 years of car buying at Cloninger Toyota this afternoon. I did not have my trade in with me but was attempting to get an estimate of the value of that trade-in. I had already gone to Toyota.com (linked me to Kelley Blue Book) and to NADA for an estimate. The Sales Manager said he would need to see the car to give an accurate estimate. I agreed but wanted a ball park. He then gave me a number very, very far off what NADA and Kelley stated for avg trade-in.. I asked him if the car was in the condition and specs which I had provided him, if there was anyway he felt like he could offer what either NADA or Kelley estimated (those 2 were within $200 of each other). He got mad and said that he'd be making a commitment and he wouldn't discuss it any further until after he saw my car. I told him I was not after a commitment. I wanted an honest est. based on a description and that this was nothign but an est. He walked away unwiling to talk further.
