I was looking for something very specific for a piece of art that was dear to me. I have a favorite artist, that I have supported for 6 years, finally finish a scribble that she had but never finished. When i paid her to commission the piece I knew I wanted a tattoo of it.

I searched high and low in the salt lake area for an artist who was up to the task. My bf had artwork done at 27 and I looked up their current artists immediately. One of them that I stumbled upon was Mason.

Mason was a dream come true for what I needed. He knew how much this meant to me and he was equally as excited to work on this. It took us 3 sessions to bring the final piece to life and I couldn't be more excited.

This piece was a dream come true for me and Mason nailed it with his artwork. Realistically I had the most awesome artist bring to life something another amazing artist did. You can see from the side by side just how much justice he did the piece.

If you are looking for a talented, amazing, incredible artist for your tattoos then look no further. Mason is 100% your guy! I have attached a picture of the art he did vs the painting and really each one is fantastic.

I first found Masons page on Instagram while researching tattoo artists in the Salt Lake City area. After browsing his online portfolio, I knew that I loved his work/style and want to see if he could fit me in for a consultation. He was very quick to respond to my message on Instagram, and got me in for a consultation the next week.

The consultation went great! He went through the pinterest board of ideas and styles I had prepared. He had me explain what I liked and disliked about each picture I had saved, which helped him get an idea of what I was looking for.

Mason is friendly, talented, and he made my tattoo dream a reality. I had three sittings for my tattoo (2-3 hours each), and all three of them were positive experiences. There are many great shops/tattoo artists in SLC, but 27 Studios (Mason specifically) will be my go-to tattoo place from now on. Highly recommended.

I went in with an idea and left with an amazing work of art, from the beginning Mason was very flexible with my work schedule and took the time to make sure the tattoo was right for me, and what I wanted. He made sure during the process everything was right from the size and location, to the color. I would recommend him to anyone from the experienced to the first timer

It was my first time getting work from Mason Atlas and it will definitely not be my last. He went above and beyond any artist I've had. He had me come in before my appointment to meet me even though I never brought that up. Meeting him made me one hundred percent certain that he was perfect for my piece. He wasn't passive and brought to my attention a lot of things I hadn't considered about size and placement. We made changes he had suggested and I walked out loving it more than the original size and placement. I plan on having him do the rest of my pieces and recommend him to all my friends. Mason is the man and my appointment felt like I was hanging out with a hilarious friend. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

I got my first tattoo from Mason Atlas 27 tattoo. When I first reached out to him, he was very prompt in his responses. He also has an app that helps set up the appointment and down payment which was really helpful. I sent him a reference photo for the design before the appointment, and he had it prepared and drawn when I got to the appointment. It was a super great experience for any first timer! I was pretty nervous but he made the whole experience comfortable, less scary, and enjoyable. While we were going over the design, he was patient and accepting of the smallest detail work I wanted changed. Before the actual needle-work, he was thorough in his explanations, and didn't drag out the whole process. He's really friendly, professional, and easy to work with. I would recommend him to anyone!

First of all, I'll say I was satisfied with my tattoo. The artist Rick did mine. I did have to get it touched up once, with is normal, but now that I look at it there are some spots that still have color missing. The main trouble I had is when I needed a letter of sterility so that I could donate plasma. I was very disappointed when I found out that they had no such letter or any kind of form or official letterhead to print off so I could get the required proof of sterility. They told me that I need to bring in the form from the biomat for them to sign off. So I went to the biomat, and got the document listing what needed to be included in the letter of sterility. I showed and he refused to give me the letter since he would have had to type up a paragraph himself. A paragraph! How hard is that? And how ungrateful a way to treat a paying customer! Needless to say, I will NOT be going to their shop when I get my other tattoos. The shop as a whole might be okay, but I was VERY dissatsfied with their professionalism, and my tattoo was just so-so.
