Do not use. I was stood up the morning of my event (by email) after receiving a confirmation at midnight (by email) the night before. She is impossible to contact either by phone or email. I made a special trip to pay in full and let her pick the date. Very unprofessional and should not be in buisness, especially one like catering. I was forced to give 1 star to be able to submitt, 0- stars is appropriate.

When I purchased the Groupon for BluEmpire Catering, I did my "due diligence" by researching the company, evaluating their website, and reading consumer reviews.



There was only one review, which was positive, so I spent $150 to get $300 worth of catering for my parents 50th anniversary party. I immediately called them to secure my date and order, and got a voicemail. Three days had gone by with no return call, so I called back every day for a week. At this point, I had already spent $150, so I became relentless.



I finally got a call back about a week after my first voicemail, and was told she was understaffed and didn't even have a car for delivery. I was told I would need to drive to her home, which was 45 min away to pick up my order. The Groupon said it would be delivered to my venue, which is why I ordered it in the first place. Within a few days, consumers had posted one-star reviews, stating that BluEmpire Catering had completely dropped the ball on their order. I immediately called them to get reassurance that my order would be ready on the date we agreed and she couldn't find my order in her records and did not even recall speaking with me.



Luckily Groupon gave me my money back and I ordered the food elsewhere. I just want to forewarn anyone considering BluEmpire Catering to do so at your own risk and read the other consumer reviews.

I was hesistant to use Blu Empire Catering because of all the reviews. We called about a week in advance to place our order. She took some time to get back to us on some occasions (she has another job, so that is understandable) but she was great to work with and took care of us. She gave us extra food. Everyone loved the luncheon. The food was delicious. I would recommend Blu Empire to a friend. Don't get scared off by the negative comments. Be patient and follow up with her. She may take some time to get back to you. You can text and call her.

Would never suggest them to any one. I booked her for my wedding not only did she call and ask to be an hour late. But she ended up being 3 hours late. Half our guest from are wedding left, because they were hungry. She did not appoligize at all. Then when we finally got the food she only delivered half. Portions were small and not at all worth the money.

I wish 0 stars was an option. I would NOT suggest Blu Empire to anyone. Shortly after getting a Groupon for Blu Empire we read a couple of reviews that frightened us. They were people who had booked with Blu Empire and then had the caterer no-show or cancel with little to no notice. One instance listed was a wedding. Despite these reviews we booked Blu Empire for an event for our employees. We called several times to verify. Despite all of our efforts we received notification just hours before our event via email (no call) that she would be unable to cater our event. We were left scrambling to prepare food for 30 people at the last minute. Groupon was good enough to give us a credit but no apologies or accommodations have been made by Blu Empire. Be warned, DO NOT USE THIS CATERING SERVICE. If I were the only one to have this experience that would be one thing but, as I said, I have seen several others.

Contacted them on a Sunday to cater our family reunion that thur, very slow to get back to me, but told me no problem. I kept asking her when she wanted our address and she kept telling me age would send me an email to get the info. I finally emailed it to her on wed am since I hadn't heard from her. Thur (day of our meal order for 4pm) at 9 am she tells me she can't deliver it and we would need to pick it up (we couldn't an I told her so, she said she would get back to me and at 2pm she cancelled the meal. I wish I had looked up her other reviews before ordering, but I wasn't even that concerned about get something fantastic, we were really just trying to find something convenient - clearly she was neither. (btw, not so much as an apology from her) I can't imagine she will be in business a yr from now.

Do not go her! We ordered food for my son in laws graduation party and she cancelled on me by text the night before the event. I didn't receive the text because she sent the text to a home phone number and then I showed up at her house to pick up the food the day of the event and she said "i sent you a text". You don't cancel the night before by text! I called her several times on the day of to coordinate pick up with her and she didn't answer a single call. She was intentionally avoiding me and had to deal with me when I actually showed up to pick up the food I had already paid for!

I am a small business owner myself so I feel bad leaving a terrible review, but I NEVER would have done that to one of my customers. I would have preferred her calling even at mid-night so I didn't have to scramble an hour before the party to make sure I had food for everyone. Do not use this Blu Empire Catering and Cakes for your catering because she cannot be trusted to have your food ready or even let you know that it won't be ready. Terrible business practices ask for a terrible review. I'd suggest Pinion, the food is delicious and Victoria is very professional!

Blu's catering was great to work with and I will work with them again in the future for sure!. They were always friendly and helpful with the my venue/event. I loved the food and it was always delevered on time. Its nice to have some nice sould food in the area thats for sure!
