I was on a tour of Salt Lake City and this is where the tour stopped for lunch. Normally buffets are ok, but not great. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was here. They had a decent variety and one must have the rolls with honey butter (I had to have two) although I should have stopped at one. I'm also a big root beer fan, and had not seen a barrel with a couple variety of root beer flavors, which made the restaurant fun. If you go, I hope you have the same experience I had.

If you go to one of their stores be careful not to share food with anyone that has not paid. Even a single bite will get a nasty visit from an employee and a demand that you pay the full price for that person. And the contact will be public and loud with no consideration for not embarrassing you.

The buffet style food is ok. They do have a great selection of food. I would rather go to a sit down resturant myself.

We used to call it "chuck up a rama", can't do that anymore, they have improved and upgraded and the food is not bad, lots to choose from.

The salad bar is usually a good choice. Vegies & fruit always seem fresh. Bread & desserts are good too. We go there quite often.

Great selection and good food

Chuck-A-Rama is one of my family's favorite restaurants. They have really improved their overall food preparations and presentations. There's something for everyone here! Carved meats, one of the best salad bar's in the State, great rolls and breads, average deserts and plenty of liquid! The only problem with Chuck-A-Rama is making yourself stop eating (if you see that as a problem).######Enjoy!
