Provided by YP.comIn the past I have been happy with with Foothill Family Clinic until now. I called to set up a yearly check up and get a prescription filled at the same time. My doctor was on maternity so the receptionist asked if I would want to see another doctor. “Sure,” I said because I didn’t have a preference. I had my appointment, he did a check up, talked about my health, and renewed my prescription. All good, right? Nope. They labeled the visit as a follow up so now I billed differently (actually have to pay for the visit instead of having a free yearly check up). They are telling me I should have known that the check up that Dr. Whitbeck performed was not a yearly check up. How am I supposed to know? I called for my yearly checkup, met with Dr. Whitbeck… I think this is an issue with the receptionist’s call notes or Dr. Whitbeck not doing a thorough check up. I’m the one left paying the bill that I wasn’t supposed to. There are a lot of doctors out there so I won’t return to them next time.

I just wanted to say that doctor Conner and his assistant nurse Mia (hope I spelled that right) are truly helpful. I feel like they really do care about the wellbeing of their patients and they don't make you feel like you're just another number. Thanks very much.T Young

I have been going to Foothill Family Clinic for 21 years, since before the South Clinic opened in 1997. I see some frustrations from others here and it's sad. It's true that you can be on hold for 1/2 hour, especially on a Monday morning, the day after a holiday, and sometimes simply because a doctor is having one of those days where many patients need things, but to me, it is worth the wait. I have my regular physician who is in charge of EVERYTHING and he sees me monthly even though he is probably the busiest. He doesn't decide what my treatment plans will be when I need treatment plans for specific reasons, WE decide by having a discussion. I have lived away from Salt Lake, been hospitalized in CA, and during those times when I needed a doctor, I would have done about ANYTHING to have MY doctor. I am FAR from textbook and my doctor understands that. He makes adjustments accordingly and I get well. In CA I went to the ER 3 times before I was admitted. As it turns-out, when I got home I learned that I had Toxic Shock Syndrome in my foot, which many doctors don't even realize is possible. My first visit to the ER, I was given a choice between 3 antibiotics, all of which I am allergic to. I know what I can take and they thought it was Cellulitis, which I have a history of, just usually on my face and sometimes in the surrounding areas, never my foot. I KNOW what my doctor has treated it with and that it DOES work, but when I politely asked a young physician if she could please look it up, she refused and said it was a horrible skin drug. At least at my next visit to the ER I was given a prescription for something I'm not allergic to, but it's a joke for such a severe problem and my doctor never gives it to me for anything because my immune system is compromised. I could feel myself getting sicker and sicker in a region where I was told they have 15 of the top hospitals in the country. I was honestly afraid for my life. I went to the ER again at a different location that had access to all of my records from the other ER's. I got a kind man for my doctor who clearly had some experience. He gave me some options, but recommended that I be admitted. I was afraid for my life and in A LOT of pain, so that seemed like the only viable option to me. I am grateful that I got a reasonably good Hospitalist, but she claimed she REALLY wanted to talk to my doctor, yet refused to call him. She HAD to know that he wasn't going to call a California doctor upon my request, so I felt like I was being lied to because she kept saying she was waiting for his call and I wondered why she wouldn't just call him when it was during office hours. He would have taken her call immediately under the circumstances. She did give me the antibiotic I requested because it is a FANTASTIC skin drug in the higher dosage it comes in, which I could have found-out myself if I had access to their computer. So, 3 days and $145,000 later JUST for the admission, I was released and couldn't be happier to walk through the doors of Foothill Family Clinic to see MY doctor. I was not even given adequate pain management. Had she called my doctor, she would have learned that I have no addictive tendencies, but I do metabolize pain medication VERY efficiently. So, top 15 hospital in the country or not, I get better, more personalized care at Foothill Family Clinic and they actually care if I am suffering. I see 2 other doctors in the South Clinic for specific reasons and I am ALWAYS treated well, with kindness and respect by then as well. Sometimes I do have to use their night and weekend clinic. They always either resolve my problem or help me make-it until Monday when my doctor can see me. If you don't seem to do well with a doctor, ask for someone else because there are MANY qualified physi...

I've been to this clinic several times and have not had a good experience yet. One of their doctors forced upon me a prescription for steroids for absolutely no reason, which was COMPLETELY inappropriate, and was the creepiest man I've ever met. Their entire staff is unfriendly. I had to go in recently for a UTI (or so I thought) and not one of 3 doctors could tell me I actually had kidney stones. They just ended up giving me more and more medication, which made me sick for two ENTIRE months, and said "sorry" and got me out the door like I was just another dollar to be made. We brought my husband to make sure it wasn't anything with him and he said "it won't be necessary to examine him." The doctor was completely inappropriate and I could have pressed sexual harassment charges. Then he tried to charge us for HIS exam that he never performed on my husband. I called to challenge it and for two weeks was promised a call back and I never got it. They forced us to pay anyway. NEVER again.

This place is long waits on phone, no returned phone calls. Extremly rude receptionist. After you wait for a half hour or more than you go to the small room, and wait longer just for the doctors come in and listen to you for two minutes, and NOT hear anything you say. My whole family was going there for 12 years. In this amount of time one doctor got my mother addicted to pain pills she had to go to rehab. My sister was will just say screwed. I have had insufficient information and bloodwork and prescription overdose because they were not paying attention to my file. In 2007 my obgyn at the north clinic almost killed my daughter from refusing to call a surgeon for a cesarian, I pushed for three hours because of him, and my daughter got stuck for several minutes without oxygen. My family and I have seen almost all the doctors at both clinic at one point or another, and all I can say is I am glad I left. I almost sued them and I would of won, what does that tell you.
