Provided by YP.comI will NEVER go to this store again. What a bunch of jerks! Hey, I don't keep up to date on all the leading edge concepts of firearms, as they probably do not know about my industry. And let's be honest, there haven't been that many breakthroughs in the firearm industry. You lost another customer to cabellas.

Provided by YPmobileI honestly used to enjoy coming here but now I feel like they only care about ripping people off. I teach kids to shoot and hunt for free and use ammo that I purchased to do this and I needed some .22 ammo for my next batch of kids and went in to purchase a brick. They wanted $60.00!!!!!! This is 3-4 times more than anyone else charges even with the recent run on ammo. The same thing happened during the last administration change with these guys and now it's time to say ENOUGH! I'm done buying from these guys.

Provided by YP.comI would never purchase a firearm or any ammo from Gallensons again. After purchasing a pair of sunglasses from them and returning to the store to exchange them, I was asked for my receipt.
Stating that I did not have my receipt, I asked if I could exchange them.
The manager then commented that I could have just taken them off the sunglass rack as I walked in.
What makes this almost funny, is I am holding the hand of my four-year-old son during this whole event and treated just like some petty criminal.
I will never go there again and will discourage anyone from patronizing such a characterless organization.

I went in looking for a good used ruger 22/45 for a good price. They had a NICE one for a GREAT price. The staff was also quite helpful. My first to Gallenson's and i don't think it will be my last!

Provided by YP.comNot sure about the bad reviews on here. The first time I went into Gallenson's I got asked by 4 different guys in about a 2 minute time frame if I needed assistance and also they were packed busy with customers. A thing to add too is I looked like hell just coming off of a cunstruction job with dirty clothes etc. and still recieved great service. I ended up buying a .40 compact Ruger. The first time I took it out shooting it had a jamming problem so I took it in and the guy at the counter more then happily helped me and test fired the gun.
I'm looking again at getting a 380 and Gallenson's is the only place I'd go. Plus the prices on guns/ammo are very competitive with the other gun shops around even Cabellas.

Provided by YP.comDo not shop here, whatever you do. I was a customer to Gallensons for over two years and was treated poorly all that time. The only reason why I kept going back is because their location is less than block away from my work. I am a beginning gun owner and do not know a lot about firearms. I went to Gallensons because people had told me they are reliable gun store that I could trust with my business, this was not so. For two years, everytime I went into the store no one would ask if I needed help. Then when I received the help it was either from some joe schmo who didn't know his own head from his own keister, or some guy who thought he was the expert of every firearm created that makes me feel dumb for wanting to buy certain guns, ammunition, and oh yes accesories. Needless to say, the service is completely lax. They will have five guys on the floor and four of them are standing around doing nothing. Plus, the place stinks like a hobo's tent. All of the products are dusty and smelly. It seems as though no one cleans their at all. All of the salesmen remind me of bad mechanics. Like a car, Gallensons makes you feel dumb for not knowing why your gun doesn't work, and also when you want to upgrade to certain accessories. I was going to buy a scope and strap from Gallensons for a Christmas present to my girlfriend installed on her Ruger 10/22 . I went to the store on Saturday Dec. 10, 2011 to get a quote on how much the customizations would be. The salesman told me the price and that it was possible to install strap on the Ruger by first having Gallensons install swivels so the strap could be used. Then when I returned to the store Tuesday Dec. 13, 2011, a different salesman told me that Gallensons doesn't even install swivels. I was extremely disturbed because here one salesman is telling me one thing, and another salesman telling me another. Look, if you want great service and someone you can trust with your business do not shop at Gallensons. There are plenty of other trustworhty gunstores in Utah that are by far worth the effort of shopping at compared to Gallensons. If there is one thing I teach you from my aweful experience, DO NOT SHOP AT GALLENSONS!!! SHOP SOMEWHERE BETTER!!!

I was amazed. Gallensons had thousand of gun and ammo. The staff was exteremly knowledgeable and frendly. They also had the best prices in town. If you need a gun, hand gun, rifle or shotgun. This is the place to go. I waited until the last minute before the deer hunt to pick up shells and Gallensons was the only ones that had what I wanted. Thanks Dan
