Provided by YP.comAvoid this shop if you could. I bought an new Santa Cruz bike from them late 2013, it's a 2012 model. I rode it for over one year and one of my friends just noticed that my brake is just not there, I had to squeezed all the way to brake. I didn't have much experience with the bike and both brakes are like that since I bought the bike. I took the bike at least twice back to them, because something else was wrong from the beginning but they never told me anything about the brakes, last time I took the bike to them is just few weeks before my friend found out the problems. I fell the bike many times and one of the injuries was horrible that I could have been gone. I argued with different sales there when I sent the bike to them, none of them even cared about this. I tested some of their bikes in the shop, I found at least one of the brakes in their shop has the same problem, the left side brake you have to squeezed all the way down. The sales just said "oh, that needs to be adjusted." Instead of caring of people's life in their hand, they charged me over $70 and I paid and left the shop. Please note I weight only 120 lbs, and the bike was hardly ridden last year. The bike has a lot of other problems since the beginning.

Guthrie is the best. Even though I live in West Valley, I drive all the way downtown to buy, service, and accessorize my bikes. Excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff. They had the best price in town on my Trek Mountain Bike and I have been extremely satisfied with My Trek bike and the Guthrie.

Great Personalized Service! Great Bikes! Recently I needed to replace my mountain bike wheel set, and I wanted lighter wheels. Instead of just telling me I needed to buy the most expensive wheel set the guys took the time to figure out how I ride and what I really needed. We determined which set would work best for me, and guess what; it was not the most expensive set on the wall! Over the years I have purchased many bikes from Guthries. Most recently my wife and I both purchased new road bikes and they gave us an even better price because we bought two. Great shop run by an honest guy!

We recently purchased two mountain bikes over the summer and we love Guthrie's service just as much as the bikes. They have bent over backwards to get our bikes tuned and back out on the trails as soon as possible. We couldn't be happier with the fast, friendly and super helpful service!

Guthrie's gave my bike a tuneup before a Moab trip & didn't charge extra for backing out a sheared off screw from my derailleur. Also got my bike out a day early so I could get in another practice ride. Helped steer me in the right direction for a comfortable seat and good value platform pedals. Recommended some cool new rides in the area.3 weeks later they adjusted my derailleur and fixed a bent hanger at no charge - while I waited! Way to go guys! You're the BEST! (I was leaving on another mtb trip the next day.) It now shifts like a dream! Friendly mechanic also set me up with some replacement cable parts for in-field repairs and instructed me how to put it all together. Friend who recommended Guthrie's (full tune-up) had a similar positive experience with their shop.No hard sell here, just helpful and hardworking mechanics. I'll be back & I'll tell all my biking buddies too! Thanks for making my mtb trips so much more enjoyable!-Liz G.
