Dont do it...

I went to major car inc. very interested in a honda I had seen online. I was told that the car was in great condition, but while I test drove the car, I stopped by a mechanic. The mechanic noticed a leak in the radiator, a missing air bag, and the car was in desperate need of an alignment...it pulled to the right terribly. After returning to Major Car Inc, I told them about the problems with the car, and offered to pay a lower amount and get the repairs done myself. They were very rude and told me it was a honda, and they could over-charge as much as they wanted for it. So basically they're rude, they up-charge by a lot for their cars, and they aren't forth coming with issues that their cars have, and may end up costing a ton to fix after you purchase a car from them. All around terrible experience...beware!!!

A shopping experience like no other...

I went to Major Car Inc twice to look at a vehicle they advertised on their website. The first time, Angie was the only person there, and she was very gracious and kind.I went back 2 days later to take the vehicle to a friend of mine who is a mechanic for an inspection. While it was in an overall good condition, there were about $700 worth of repairs or services that I would want done prior to buying it (including many issues that would cause it to fail safety inspection). I went back to the dealership and talked to Sonny. They had wanted $8400, and KBB for the vehicle was about $7700 (private seller value, as dealership value assumes PERFECT condition, which this vehicle was not). I began negotiation by telling him what needed fixing on the vehicle. Most of my concerns he blew off, saying the mechanics all just want money. The mechanic I went to is a friend, and is not at all after money. I again said there were about $700 worth of repairs, and attempted to begin negotiations on price with an initial offer of $7,000. At this point, I would expect any number of things to happen. I had expected a counter-offer, but would've been thrilled with an accepted offer. I would have been surprised if Godzilla rushed by, knocking out the power and terminating our negotiations. I was not at all prepared for what actually happened next. Sonny yelled at me to get out and told me I must be joking. He then told me that I was insulting him by not offering him enough money. I tried to explain where my offer was coming from, citing the book value, and which point Sonny told me I had no idea what I was talking about, and asked me "Which book were you looking at?" I said it was Kelly Blue Book, and Sonny told me that I should go to Low Book Sales and try to get them to give me a similar vehicle for that price. I told him that I was trying to shop with him, not with anybody else, and he told me that I was wasting his time and insisted I leave.Pros: Angie was very polite.Cons: Price is apparently non-negotiable. Very non-negotiable. Like really, how dare you even consider attempting to negotiate? I understand my first offer was lower than Sonny would accept, but I figured he would present me with a counter-offer, not yell insults at me and tell me to leave. In fact, I can only imagine a handful of situations that would warrant you yelling at your customers, and a less-than-expected offer is not one of them. You expect car salespeople to be rude, but this was just absurd. Like I said, it was a shopping experience like no other.

Well Worth It

I recently purchased a Honda Odyssy from Sunny at Major Car Inc. It was a pleasure working with Sunny. He was very gracious and courteous. They offered great prices on great cars. I highly recommend shopping with them. If and when I need to buy another car, I'll definitely come back.
