I bought a mattress pad for $100. Upon delivery I opened the plastic and about fell over from the stench of formaldehyde. I kept it outdoors for days, still a stench. I’ve had it for weeks, still stinks. I called about a return but was told it would cost me $79 to return it; I should have read this on my receipt. I replied that I hadn’t received a receipt as Mattress Firm’s printer wasn’t working that day. No response. A) I pay for a product that turns out to be not like the one on display which doesn’t omit a stench making it unusable. B) I wasn’t told about the $79 return fee. C) Isn’t it after one pays for something that they get a receipt? Kinda late to be informing one about a conditional fee. Switch & bait w/ conditional fee: not good business.
