Provided by YP.comIn the very few times I have spoken with this company, it was a very negative experience. I am an employer who is garnishing employee's checks to get this company's money back and they STILL treat me like garbage. I cannot even imagine having a personal loan from them. I give referrals to employees on places to obtain loans and this is the last place I will ever refer!
It looks like I'm not alone when I say that their customer service is terrible. I would be absolutely ashamed if my company or employees treated customers/other companies the way your employees do.
Shame on you guys for not only treating customers like complete garbage, but also for treating companies that is getting you your money back like garbage!
A little bit of thankfulness could go along ways. But seems as though you guys don't have a single polite person in your office.
By the way, YOU'RE WELCOME!

Provided by YPmobileThis Is by far the worst company I have ever seen or heard about in my entire life. They are loan sharks that's what this company is loan shark. They don't care about customer service they will not work with you on your paydays I borrowed 250 dollars they want 1500 in return that is more than what they are entitled to they knew that I was filing a chapter 13 bankruptcy and they knew when my 321 meeting was what they did instead was meekly submit a garnishment into my company in which they took $83 before I found out about it thank God for company sending letters about it anyway get parts is someone that I'm going to be looking into having investigating this company so I mean do not and I mean do not ever get a loan from this place they don't even deserve a half-assed are they deserve 5 knuckles upside their head and that's what I would give him if it wasn't against the law they are rude and very very uncool

Provided by YP.comYou know...honestly the rates are crazy. But everyone that let themselves get victimized by the interest rates all fail to mention that EVERYONE is given a opportunity to payback the full loan +2$ 15 days after they get it. Its a signature loan. Don't be dumb READ YOUR CONTRACTS AND IF YOU DON"T UNDERSTAND IT ASK SOMEONE. All of the interest rates are on the front page. Each payment is 18% of what you borrowed due twice a month expected at that rate for 32 payments. There are late fees in utah 3 days late incurrs a $30 and Idaho its 10 days $15. Simple yes? Don't get suckered into the sales if you cant pay the debt back fast.

Provided by YP.comStay away from this place! They don't deserve any stars! They're so willing to lend you money but if anything should go wrong paying it back, they will harass you and your references to no end! I had to take a different job due to an injury and am making $1000 less a month than when I applied for the loan so I got behind in my payments. They will not work with you! Randy is the worst! He calls me 3-4 times in a row while I'm working and then leaves a message wondering why I ignore his phone calls. He also left a message stating that I need to call him back by the end of the week to make arrangements and then called my daughter 20 minutes later because I didn't call him yet. He said I was not a responsible person because I pay my utilities and medical bills before I pay their payment! What??? They're the worst company I've ever had to deal with! All of my other loans have given me options to catch up. I'm not refusing to pay, I'm not denying I owe them money. I just want them to work with me and they won't!

Provided by YP.comAll Payday and Title Loan places are a rip off. You are better off getting a credit card and doing a cash advance for 40 percent interest or less. Most of these places charge over 225 percent annual percentage rate which is nothing but legal theft.
Avoid debt! Do not buy a new car and a house you cannot afford. Buy a good used car for $8,000 or less. You can find good models of cars rated at www.carcomplaints.com.
Get an emergency fund of three to six months worth of income to keep from going into debt.

Provided by YP.comI never write reviews about a company but this one is SO BAD that I felt it worth writing. This company is more than happy to lend you money while at the same time not disclosing all the information they should to you. They call you constantly whether you want a loan or not as soon as you show any interest. Loan shark? ABSOLUTELY. Avoid them 100 percent. If you need to make a payment, they make it as hard as possible with a fee of at least 8.95 to process your card or you have to go in to the store. The payment process takes forever once you're there. This is the worst possible company you could ever deal with.

Provided by YP.comDO BELIEVE THE BAD PRESS!
The only good reviews about these guys is by their employees.
They have an F rating with the BBB for a reason.
Save your time, money and sanity by going elsewhere.

Provided by YP.comWorst of the worst in a terrible industry!!!
Please avoid this place!!! There are plenty of other "payday loan" type of loan choices out there. First off the Salt Lake office is extremely rude. They act as if they are doing you a favor by taking a payment from you. Not to mention the parking lot is smaller than most back yards. They offer their potential customers absolutely NO privacy whatsoever.
They make their decisions in an open office setting so that anyone in their waiting area can overhear them belittle(deny) applicants. It is a VERY depressing environment. They do still pull credit as part of their decision process, but still charge rates near that of traditonal payday lenders. If you are approved, you are given a generous 1 day grace period.
If you miss the grace period, you are charged a $30 late fee, if you go beyone 4 days past-due, your interest rate jumps to over 600%; much higher than a traditional payday loan. I have a hunch they like people to go 4+ days past due. Payday loans are a dangerous cycle to get in and this company ranks amongst the lowest of them all(in my opinion). I would not recommend this company at all!!

Provided by YP.comWORSE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH!!! I would rather be evcited and sleep in my car then deal with them. I know how hard it is to not get into payday loans. I use them often. This company is dirty an is a scam. First online you fill out an application that will say you are approved for 1000 or more, then they call to tell you to go down there just to get your money. When you get there you have to fill out a 10 page application again. Then they take that and your paycheck stubs fax them to the main office while you wait for at least an hour for them to come back with an approval. Online they told me I was approved for 1250 I actually got approved for 250. I was not given an copies of the paperwork signed. The rep told me I didnt need any. I got the dates confused on my first paypayment by 1 day and they refused to accept the original payment, they wanted double just for interest. I couldnt pay that so they refused to take any money at all. Then for being late once they raised me rate from 435% to 600% for being late 1 time. 2 weeks later I told them I would work with a debt company to pay them back and 3 different people told me that was fine so I gave them the information. I always answered their calls I never avoid them and for no reason they called my work. Megan from the corporate office is the most disrespectful person I have ever met. She called me a scumbag for not paying and refused to even give me the number so I could call back from my cell. I asked them to note not to call me at work and then repeatly got calls after. The training with this company is horrible, no one knows what is going on ans the people that do are very rude and not willing to work with you at all. Constantly talking over me and basically just demanding money. I would strip for money before I ever used them again. USE Check city or cashnetusa.com if possible. Very nice and professional. I have never been harrassed more in my life over there staff repeatly giving me wrong in information and there answer to that was they are new. This place doesnt want to help you, they only want to take you for all they can.

Provided by YPmobileThis company is so scandaless and not worth doing business with. They are so rude. We were late one day and they called us about 5 times and called all our references too. When I called them back the lady was rude and threatened to garnish my husband's wages if I didnt pay with her that day. Dont do a loan with them. Trust me find some other company.

Provided by YPmobilePlease avoid this company at all cost, I know that they offer more money than most of their competitors but they are exponentially more savage in their business tactics and you'll likely not get the large amount they 'pre-approve' you for. I saw it happen many times while I waited for my approval. They sell themselves as cheaper than a payday loans but other payday, title loan or signature loan stores don't charge you 400 + interest for eight months and expect a huge balloon payment at the end with no flexibility. I tried looking for a payment option like the Extended Payment Plan that payday lenders are required by law to offer once every 12 months that freezes interest but no such thing exists for a signature loan! They immediately started threatening legal action, they were rude and didn't even feign interest or empathy in my situation. I've been paying you 108 bucks a month for eight months on a three hundred dollar loan, isn't it a bit understandable that I don't have 354 dollars on hand for a final payment. Their answer was that I should have been paying extra, umm I came to you because I had no extra money and still found a way to budget in another bill. Regardless that isn't my biggest complaint as I did sign the contract binding me to those terms. I have trouble with their disregard of the law. The truth in lending act states that when reading a contract you have to clearly state and point out the amount financed, the finance charge, the total amount due and you must quote the interest as an annual rate. When my contract was read to me they quickly just pointed out my payments, the days they would be due, they made a large point of the lack of prepayment penalty(which isn't permitted by law anyway), pointed out my interest as a daily figure and notified me of the privacy policy. I tried taking a moment to read over the contract but was rushed to hurry and sign as they were busy. At that point I just signed foolishly because it was too late to go elsewhere, they had all my information and had pulled my credit. Again they are terrible to work with! Horrible waits, late payment charges that are through the roof, if you're late too many times they can (and will) cancel payments and demand the full balance due immediately then when it's not paid you're immediately harassed and then sued. Luckily I was able to loan at a competitor and pay them off without having more than one late fee added but others i know haven't been so lucky. The harassment they inflict is terrible and that's coming from someone who was only two days late once, I can only imagine. I know high interest is common and standard in short term lending but treating customers rudely, showing no regard for their time and overall bad business practices are the reason I'll never do business with Mountain Loan Centers again. Pick a competitor, do your research before you commit but avoid Alpine/ Mountain Loan Centers as best as possible.

Provided by YP.comI am employed with Mountain loan centers, and i could not disagree more with "happystgeorge"'s comment below. I have never had a job that i enjoy more, or that i have been treated better at. I have finally found a position where hard work is rewarded. My name is Will, Im at the Salt Lake city branch on 981 e 3300 s, stop by any time and i would be happy to verify that this is 100% truthful. I also worked at the office in St. George, and genuinely enjoyed working for the owner directly. MLC is a great place to work, stop by the office we're always hiring!

Provided by YP.comIf you are thinking about getting a loan there, don t. The owner is an absolute monster that will stop at nothing to make an extra buck. He treats his employees like absolute garbage, legal holidays like Independence Day, Labor Day, Christmas are not paid for, which is illegal. There is a constant atmosphere of sexual harassment. Unfortunately no one is brave enough to stand up to this fat bloodsucking leach. He wears $3000 suits with his name embroidered in every location possible and drives a Bently yet he will sell his mother if the price is right. I truly hope that some day people get fed up with this repulsive greasy pimp, file a class-action lawsuit and take him for a ride. Karma will get him some day! So take your business elsewhere. I hope the word spreads and enough people know of this terrible excuse for a human being.

Provided by YP.comWorst Company I have ever dealt with. They lie and harass to no end. They give all your information to anyone they can. They do not abide by any fair lending laws. Stay far away.
09/03/2013
Provided by YP.comDo not ever, EVER go there. There are other ways or loan places. They are totally unreasonable. Whatever financial trouble you think they can help with, they will make it 100 times worse. Payments are due every two weeks, and they charge 600% interest. They make it IMPOSSIBLE to pay back the loan and will take you to court immediately. They will call your place of employment relentlessly, and that list of references...they will call them as well. DO NOT GO THERE.
