Patrick Carpenter, M.D. attended medical school at Loyola University Chicago and continued his training in a five-year Otolaryngology '?" Head and Neck Surgery residency at the University of Utah. Prior to joining Carilion, Dr. Carpenter finished an intensive fellowship in head and neck oncologic, skull-base, and microvascular surgery at the University of California in San Francisco. As a head and neck cancer and reconstructive surgeon, he treats both benign and malignant tumors of the skull-base, face, jaw, oral cavity, throat, and neck.
