The Division of Youth Services provides individual protection services related to abuse and neglect. Located in South Salt Lake City, the division offers crisis management, counseling and referral services. It also provides substance abuse prevention and treatment services. The Division of Youth Services offers family support, educational and crisis intervention services. The division operates the Juvenile Receiving Center, which provides evaluation and assessment services. In addition, it offers employment assistance, volunteering and training-related services. The Division of Youth Services provides investigation and legal assistance services related to domestic violence, kidnapping and abductions. It additionally organizes talent hunts and other fundraising events. The division is a part of the Salt Lake County Department of Human Services.
