Very Disappointed!!! I would have thought when told that they perform this repair all the time they would get it right.
I brought my prop shaft from 97 Sub Legacy Outback in for repair with ujoints. I was told that because the joints are staked in the yoke they weld on new yokes to the ends with greasable ujoints.
Prop shaft did not fit when I went to reinstall. Support bearing mounting was off and the flange that mates to rear differential sat an inch or so under and past the pinion flange. I called and explained the issue to Conan and asked if they measure before and after. He told me "No" they do the repair all the time and was told they could shorten the shaft.
This did not sit right so I went and removed a prop shaft from a vehicle with the same platform from a used parts yard. The wrong transmission yoke was installed, too long, which is why the support bearing did not match up to its mounting position. The new weld on yokes added some length also. I expect a refund and hope this is a lesson for all.
