They didn't show up today like they were scheduled, and refused to come help us until tomorrow. It's only noon on a Monday, they can't help us at all? Find a replacement at least?? Tomorrow is too late for them to come, I have to scramble at work for a Plan B or I have to move everything late tonight with a friend. They didn't even call to say they were not coming, we had to call them!!!!!! After waiting for four hors for nothing.

Don't hire these guys, completely unreliable and will add a ton of stress to an already stressful process of moving. Also, they use subcontractors so it's a crapshoot on who shows up IF ANYBODY DOES SHOW UP AT ALL.

If I could have less stars I would. Not only was I literally stolen from (even creepier, the guy stole money out of my underwear drawer) but I was also felt uncomfortable and bullied. I still have not gotten my money back even though my lawyer contacted the company. So I WOULD not use them ever! Unless you want your stuff stolen.

They absolutely suck and charged a $87.00 fuel charge for a 20 mile round trip from there location, which was not mentioned when I called for the quote. $12.00 for a wardrobe box they chose to put my lard tools in, unloaded the box into my storage and took the box back. not to mention about 5 yards of tape when I told them to use the tape I supplied and shrink wrap. In all I was charged $35.00 for supplies of nothing. The scratched many wood furniture's as well as tor the fabric on a chair and my couch! when I move out of my storage in two more weeks I will rent a truck, go to home depot and hire three guys for $10.00 per hr. be way ahead and not be ripped off!!!!!!!

When I called around for rates initially I thought this was a great deal. The customer service rep boasted their services and gave my quote. Firstly, when the local supervisor contacted me to confirm my appointment he tried to change (increase) the rate I had been quoted, but backed down after I stood my ground for several minutes.

The movers were Shane and Ricky. Shane was reserved, professional and efficient. Ricky was a clown and a general sleazeball. I was mildly and briefly amused that he was hitting on me at our initial introduction, and quickly tired of this as this was a business transaction and he was slowly, deliberately, calculatingly milking the clock at my expense.

Shane literally moved my couch by himself and would take out 5 boxes at a time. Ricky meandered lackadaisically and repetitively stopped working to make stupid, pointless comments about anything and everything he could think of to "distract" me. I have literally witnessed 10 year old girls carry more than he did on any given trip.

I have very few belongings compared to the average person and I am extremely organized. These guys took an hour longer to move my small household three miles than my friend's movers took to move her and her daughter to a multi level townhouse loaded with furniture, a piano and substantially more belongings.

Because Ricky was running a time-clock scam I finally had to insist that they abruptly get all of my sh-t inside my new home and just drop it wherever, lest I pay yet another hour of useless antics. After putting a hole in the wall Ricky offered to come back and do the repair "free of charge" and was plugging his side business as a handyman.

Friends who came over afterward were stunned at the level of disarray of my new household. The whole point of paying professional movers vs. friends is to receive a certain level of quality, competence and ease.

I will never use their services again and have spoken to several other people since who had a similarly terrible experience with Starving Students.

First off, No students actually work for the company. Secondly they are slow. Thirdly they sneak in an extra surprise "fuel" charge of 15% which is not based on the actually based on the fuel used but is a percentage of the time they spent on the move. Thank goodness I had some volunteer manpower (5 men other than myself for 2 hours each) in addition to the 4 men they sent because the move from our storage unit to our home took 9 hours!!!
