Provided by YP.comI believe that this is the best sushi place in Salt Lake City but it's 'the best sushi in Salt Lake City';... (I mean how many other sushi places are there anyway in Salt Lake city?) But, if you're from Los Angeles like me you would probably feel that the place is a bit overrated and over-priced; there are a lot of good sushi places I would rather want to go in LA. But, if I happen to be in the area and am really craving for good sushi, I would try this place again.

Provided by YP.comthis sushi place was good, but i'm from CA so i've had much better. the prices were steep. My boss and I paid over $80 for just a few pieces and a very small. the service was good, but unless you're standing in line at 5pm (they open at 530) it means you're waiting a long time for a table.

Provided by YP.comTakashi is by far the best sushi place in town. The only draw back is the wait, you could be waiting an hour or more. But it's SO worth it.
They have a wonderful menu of creative rolls. I don't like tempura fried rolls covered in mayonaise. I want rolls with real flavor without grease and Takashi has a great selection. Plus they always have new rolls to try on their specials menu.
The service has always been wonderful (I've been at least 30 times).
Here are my tops choices: Nasu (grilled eggplant in a miso sauce - I don't like eggplant but this is amazing), Torched Sablefish nigiril (wow, melts in your mouth), Easyride roll (with thai basil and mint - that how you make rolls with flavor instead of greasy mayo like the other places). If you do like tempura fried rolls, go for the TNT - it's spicy. Also their clams in the curry are awesome too.
There is valet parking in front of the Melting Pot, also paid lots off of West Temple.
This place is always worth the wait. I've been for lunch and for dinner and I've never had a bad experience. It's by far the BEST sushi I've ever had.

This is by far the best sushi in town. Anyone who doesn't like it must have absolutely no taste in sushi what so ever. I suggest this restaurant to anyone with taste buds.

I thought that Tsunami was the best Sushi place in town until I went to Takashi. Exceptional all around and the best Kobe beef I've had yet. Good location downtown and nice interior design.
