We had an old tree that had been topped off, was rotting and was in obvious bad condition. We were given a bid that seemed very reasonable that we agreed to. They arrived and asked me to back the car out of the driveway, when I thought I overheard one of them say don't tell her yet. Soon after they got started they came to me and said that it was much worse than they thought and that it would be another $400 and that they could keep going or quit and clean up. I asked them to leave since the condition of the tree was quite obvious. I guess they were willing to lose a days wages instead of giving an accurate bid, beware.
