I highly recommend Alamo Water Softeners. I did extensive research into the different options available in the San Antonio area.(which began with learning the details of how water softener systems work so I would better understand the products being offered). Allen was the perfect person to work with me as I would have bolted at the slightest hint of being "sold". Instead he patiently answered all of my questions without being condescending. The other companies I called were very high pressure sales and made claims that were too bold for me to be comfortable. When I made my purchase decision, Allen was completely on top of the paperwork, scheduling, and even showed up to help Abel carry the system up my stairs so there wouldn't be any damage to my wood stairs. Abel was efficient and thorough with the installation. He took extra time to go over the care/feeding of our new system. We have now had our system for several months and I waited this long to make sure I really liked the system as much as the people. Much to my surprise - I love it even more than I thought I would. The softener system made such an incredible difference in how much soap we use, how difficult it is to clean, how our water/ice tastes, and our coffee maker is working better than ever. Such a relief because I was worried about the benefit/value I would experience vs the cost. Worth EVERY PENNY!

Great company,very helpful with any questions. From installers to inspector after installation everyone was happy and eager to explain what they were doing and we had ALOT of questions :) trudy was very helpful whenever we needed anything mailed or emailed. Alan of Alamo Water Softener was an outstanding sales experience. Let’s face it, we want 3 basic things, good price, good warranty and on-time service. Alamo delivered all of these. PLUS after being amazed at the great price, a discount was given for cash, and another just for having served in the military!

After dealing with other water softener salesmen, I became aware how most “talk the talk” while performing chemistry in my kitchen to show me how disgusting my water is. I don’t need all that fluff, that’s why I’m shopping for a softener, I know my water sucks! Then of course this “Special Price” is only good today and we will throw in all these free cleaning supplies, WHEN HE JUST TOLD ME I WOULD NO LONGER NEED CLEANING SUPPLIES!

We called Alamo Water Systems to get information on a water softener and reverse osmosis system for our new home. Boy did we hit the jackpot with Allen and his team! We found an extremely knowledgeable professional who was very open to questions and truly wanted to help us understand -- not just sell us a system. Allen personally came out to check on the installation, stopped by again two weeks later, and is coming out again after another 30 days just to make sure everything is working well and that any questions we have are answered. We really appreciated the AWS website -- so much information, including pricing. What we didn't realize is that the price you see on the website is the price -- no additional cost for taxes or installation, it's the complete turn-key price. And based on our comparison with other companies for additional items -- a custom kitchen faucet for the reverse osmosis and an exterior faucet for the water softener so we can wash the cars with soft water -- Allen's prices can't be beat. We found everyone we dealt with to be so service oriented -- something you just don't find very often. Allen and AWS get our highest recommendation -- A++ on all counts.

We moved here a few months ago and shipped a water softener we already owned. Alan and his crew not only gave us a fair price but took time to consult with us on exactly how and where they intended to install the unit. These guys delivered excellent and professional service and I was amazed that they actually cleaned up their mess and treated me and my home with respect.

We got our Alamo Water Softener a couple weeks ago and are extremely happy with it. Couldn’t have asked for a better, nicer, and more professional company to work with. It was a breath of fresh air dealing with Allen as he explained what his company had to offer without any hard ball selling. We purchased their top of the line Vortex system which was still $1000.00+ less expensive than a comparable Culligan system and it has an additional 5 year parts and labor, STANDARD, on the warranty. The quality of the produce, price, and a reverse osmosis system thrown in for FREE made Alamo Water a no brainer. The day before they were supposed to install our system it rained all day and was still raining off and on the install day. We expected to get a call from the plumbers to reschedule. Instead, they still came out and setup the reverse osmosis system and then promised to come out the next day (Saturday) to install the softener system. That’s customer service!!! As promised, the plumbers were out bright and early. They we very nice, professional, and took those extra steps to go above and beyond. After they were done I expected my yard to be a complete mess. However, they took great care to put the torn up grass back better than I would have thought. My wife was so pleased that she recommended Alamo to a friend who is looking into purchasing a softening system.

We have had our water softener for over a year and have been very pleased with it and Alamo Water Softeners.

We went through 6 bags of salt in a month, so I called the company to ask if this should be happening, they said no and sent someone right over to figure out what the problem was. After some tank testing, they figured out that we must have a water leak somewhere, because of the amount of water that was used from our tank. After about 10 minutes walking around outside, the serviceman found our outside leak, I didn't even know we had. I got the leak fixed and the serviceman replenished my tank with 6 more bags of salt, FREE!! This is an awesome company and customer service is dynomite!! It is hard to find that these days!

My family noticed three things about Alamo Water Softeners: The first is our water bill went down considerably. Second the new system was a lot cheaper than the Culligan estimate for system replacement. And lastly, the company has excellent customer service. They did not do a hard sale for monthly salt deliveries and system maintenance. The Alamo system is so easy to use and you do not have to be a Culligan expert with a manual to know how to use the system. On Friday we received a personal letter from the company with a soft water tester kit so we could validate the water quality...it proved it was soft water but more importantly, the company values you and your business. The Christian "Follow Jesus" emblem on their website is indicative of their quality service and high values. We enjoy much lower water bill, a quite system, efficient on salt, crystal clean water, and no "highly recommended" maintenance contract.

I called this company to see if they service a Culligan System that I was having a problem with. I talked to the owner Alle Townsen who informed me that only Cilligan can service their systems. However he asked me what the problem was and gave me expert advice of alternative ways to get it fixed. He was friendly and knowledgeable and even offered to come out and check out the Culligan rerpair if I was unhappy with it. He went over and above what someone would expect from customer service even though I was not even a potential customer. Thanks for your help Allen
