Provided by YPmobileMy family and I used to go to Big Lou's before it was on Tv. The pizza was awesome but later it got greasy... I taste the grease more than the pizza and my hubby fell out of love for Big Lou's... This pizza ia treasure than school cafeteria pizza... This place is so packed, the parking is horrible even though they expanded. And it is true that the employees are rude.... We were at the register and our Grandmother was paying cause she has invited us... The cashier started insulting my husband... "What kind of man doesn't pay for his ladies meal..." She was being all nosey ... And one thing is to be playing but she was hardcore serious! I rather take my chances at Papa Johns or Dominos ... At least they won't tell us who should pay'

Provided by YP.comThe people that work here are the rudest people I have ever met. I even asked to speak to the owner to complain and I think they learned how to treat customers from him. When I saw them on the food network I wish they would have mentioned the service stunk!!!!

Provided by YPmobileYes, the wait is long on a weekend, but the pizza is terrific and Big Lou himself is always checking on tables to ensure everyone's taken care of! His son, Brian, is a true gentleman and took time to talk to us as well. We'll make this place a regular stop when we're up from Corpus Christi! It easy to see why Man Vs. Food taped a show here.

Provided by YPmobileMy son wanted to have his big ten oh birthday there, show off to his friends the largest pizza. so I called, a week before his party, to get the pizza order a head of time, the biggest one, and PAY in ADVANCE. due to the fact it does take at least and hour to make that size pizza, i had a group of ten kids from four to eleven, and we were on a tight schedule also we live out of town.Th e lady who answered the phone " manager" said they dont do that, even with me paying in advance. She said we had to go order and stay there until it was ready! I tried cash, paying more than the pizza like a convience charge so if they are worried i wont show up they still get paid. she said no, this is a small business we do not do things like that from the very beginning she was very rude and short with me. Well sorry to tell you but your rudeness and small mindness will keep your business small. We had a wonderful birthday at eatsa pizza where even on their huge pizzas you can preordered without advance payment, not only a small family owned resturaunt but also in a small town. if the woman on the phone were not so rude i would have gone back with a smaller crowd and more time to spare, but not after being talked to that way. my money will go to someone else!

Provided by YPmobileCompared to PizzaHut, LittleCesar, PPP. There pizza is hot when served and the beer is cold all at a decent price. My family has been going there since they were in there small building and still continue to go bringing new friends and family to try it out. They begin to love it to. If u want friendly service and good hot food this is the place to even when it is busy. I will wait to

Provided by YP.comAs with any great place expect a wait. The pizza is worth the wait. As a matter of fact everything is worth the wait: pizza, wings (to die for), salad, calzones, pizza rolls...EVERYTHING. Gratuity was included which for me was great, much less of a hassle then digging through my purse for cash which I usually don't even carry. Service was great....BIG LOU'S IS A PERFECT PLACE FOR FAMILY FUN AND ALL GET TOGETHERS!!

Provided by YP.comi love this place.ive been many times and each one is a new expirience. Lou himself has even come to meet our table and he is a very sweet guy. I would recommend everyone either living in san antonio or just visiting to stop by.

Provided by YP.comI lovvve this place. I went this past Friday and had my first upset there. I was in the pick up line and there were a lot of people during the luch hour. I overheard one of the employees (a chubby stout hispanic guy with a beard) say, "man there's other restaurants", referring to all the people there. I looked at him and he knows I heard him. It upset me. It's because of the crowd that afternoon that he can have a job. I hope he reads this. Other than that the pizza was great and I'd go back.

Provided by YP.comThe only down fall of this place is the front counter order taker (girl w/glasses - dirty blonde). She is rude and doesn't take the time to listen to the customer. Yet again she got my order wrong and while waiting for my food I notice two other customers with the same problem. This girl is too busy talking w/her co-workers instead of listening to the customer. Congrats on winning the Blue Plate award and having 3 perfect scores in a row, but what good is all that when your front line person (girl w/glasses) can't get the order right. Yeah, the food takes awhile to get to the table, but it's not frozen and heated up it is fresh, hot and YUMO...The wait staff is the greatest, friendly, kind and really down to earth folks. Sam (young small girl), Lisa (older freindly lady) and Art (somehow realated to Big Lou) are the best and kindest wait staff I have ever encounted. They along w/the great food keeps me coming back and I tell everyone who will listen how great it is there. If only the front counter person could be placed in the kitchen away from customers this place would be more than exceptional.

Provided by YP.comIt does take a long time but worth the wait. There is nothing wrong with ordering ahead of time. ONLY MAKES SENSE. One of the largest pizzas made here in town. and taste great. Have not been there after hours but one day i will make it a priority to drink beer, hang with friends and eat pizza!

Provided by YP.comA consistent San Antonio favorite, try the pizza rolls or splurge on the biggest pizza you have ever seen. Best pizza in town.

Provided by YP.comThe service from the wait staff all the way to the owner was the worst I've ever experienced. I will never go back there again. They took too long with my order and were very unwilling to refund my money. The manager stated the owner's (which is also the cook) the boss and he makes up the rules .I told them to keep their food.
