Called around noon on Saturday, they told the tech would be to my home between 4 & 8pm, at 4:30pm they called to tell me he would not be coming today. But for an additional $110.00 they could send him out the next day (Sunday). Since the temperature was dropping into the 30's over night I agreed.

Jonathon showed up on Sunday morning spent an hour to determine the problem. Told me that "System took a surge and most of the electrical components are fried" would cost $1,681.00 to repair. I paid him the $129.00 service call charge and told him I would need to get a second opinion. Jonathan smiled, took my money and left in a hurry. I checked to make sure he had put everything back as he found it. That's when I found that he had badly damaged the condensate collection pan below the air handler. I was with him for the first thirty minutes so I know for fact it wasn't damaged before.

Then I called Climate Care Air Conditioning & Heating, they showed up in less than an hour. they determined what the problem was (corroded connections), made the repair all in less than an hour and charged me $142.

I will not call Champion A/C again.

They sell you a unit; you are forgotten (they got paid); the unit is inoperable the first cold front; Mr. Tony, the owner, tries to be intimidating and assumes he is an educated person -- he is not. I had an energy efficient report stating: my unit is NOT the right one; my bills will reflect this. I made several attempts to Champion thusly; to no avail. They have their money, I have a unit that will not last long and will be costly to run.

I’m very pleased that I got my money’s worth from this San Antonio AC repair company when it comes to the tune up. I just saw my first power bill and my AC unit is significantly more efficient than it was before the tune up was done.

This company does great with Tune-ups. They charged us very little for their tuneup when we asked for one as part of our repairs. The system is running lot cooler than it was before it even broke down, and that may be because of the tunep this San Antonio company did for us.

Champion has performed our preventative AC maintenance for about 3 years now. In that time, we have never had any breakdowns, even though we experienced a lot of breakdowns in the years before we started getting that done. I guess they do their due diligence.

i bought my home 5 years ago, and just this year started having problems with my a/c. I called 3 other companies and not only were there prices high but they couldnt give me a straight answer. My boss refered me to champion a/c and they were such great help! I definatly highly recommend them!
