Provided by YP.comFirst time having to purchase sod for my yard. I was recommended to Del's and I had a very professional experience. I emailed in a request for quote and received prompt reply. I ordered by phone the young lady was very helpful in completing my order. Scheduled it for a Monday delivery and went smooth. Driver called me ahead of time to give me heads up and when I arrived home, the pallets were neatly placed exactly where I had instructed. I am very happy with my new lawn. Thank you to Del's Grass Farm for assisting in this project.
Sincerely,
Carlos E Ramirez Helotes, TX

Provided by YP.comI would not recommend this place for grass. The grass squares just fell apart like it was Not enough dirt pad was left with grass. Poor quality. rocks with the grass and some pieces had some oil on them. First time and last time to ever use this place. I wish I would have thought to take a picture but I didn't : (

Provided by YP.comScheduling mix up left my pallets of grass out by the curb when I needed them closer to my backyard. I called the office and within the hour a crew was sent back to move my pallets where I needed them. Thank you Sandra and thank you Patrick for proving that the customer comes first!!!

Provided by YP.comPerfect example of a company with big contracts, that dont care about the quality they sell to everyday people. I bought a pallet of Bermuda grass on May 28 2016 and I swear more than half of it was so thin and frail that it just fell apart. With tax it was almost $150.00, after laying it down I maybe got 225 ft of coverage when promised 450. Not happy at all, I called back to explain the situation and they said to bring back the damaged and they would replace, but that they doubt that it was over half the pallet. Right there I knew it would more of a hassle, than to just eat my loss. You can get better, fresher grass from smaller stores, dam the guy on the side of road has fresher grass. Im a PM for a custom home builder, and can assure you we will never use this company. I work hard for my money, and feel that a company as big as this one should provide a quality product. A bit of advice, stick to your big contracts, and leave the everyday customers to smaller companies that care

Provided by YP.comComplete and UTTER GARBAGE! I purchased 3 pallets of St.Augustine grass back 6 months ago. My water billl has doubled which I expected. What I didnt expect was for patches of grass to die even after treating the lawn.

Provided by YPmobileFirst the old lady at counter was so rude and condensing. It's like really. You should not have that job. There grass was full of ants and had fungus on it I would recommend going somewhere else plus location is horrific to get to and get out.

Provided by YP.comBeen going to Del's Grass Farm for years, and each time they have exceeded our expectations! It's great working with all of their staff! Not to mention how organized they are!
I highly recommend - please look them up I'm certain you will not be disappointed.
Who coined, "the grass is not always greener on the other side" - Del's will not fail! ;-)

Provided by YP.comI agree with the negative comment above! Bought three pallets and they are still brown after nearly 2 weeks of watering. I had a sprinkler system installed just for this job. My neighbor had new grass sod from another place down Bandera Rd installed recently and it now already looks like I expected mine to look after 2 weeks of watering. The guy who installed my neighbors grass said he would never by grass from Del's. I need one more pallet of sod and will get it from the other place I mentioned.

Provided by YPmobileI went to Dells, told them i needed 5 pallets of bermuda, gave them the cash and they said they can deliver between 8 and 12 the next day and i was good with that, then later that same day they called and asked if i could receive the pallets later that day around 2 pm,i said yes, they delivered as promised and all 5 pallets were good green pieces of sod. The delivery man even helped me take down part of my fence and put back together, if anyone needs grass out there i highly recommend these guys.

Provided by YP.comI have been using Dels for my lanscaping needs for over 20 years. I have never had a problem replacing grass that is dead or had too many weeds. I have seen the owner refuse tractor trailer loads of grass because they are not to his standards. Grass is a perishable item and some pieces just die. The majority of the product well exceeds others around town. Everyone in the office is curtious and professional, they treat you like family and are very helpful. I would recommend del's to everyone I know if you are looking for quality

Provided by YP.comI've been a landscaper here in San Antonio for the last ten years. I've been doing business with them at there old location off Bandera road, as well as the new facility off of Leslie. I have always been treated with great service. They are both professional and courteous when every I deal with them on my purchases. As for the quality of their grass it far exceeds some of the other distributors I've used throughout the years. I would highly recommend them to all my customers and friends alike. Keep up the good work.

Provided by YP.comTo everyone looking for grass this summer, be aware. I want to tell you that Del's Grass Farm out on 1604 and Leslie Road will not guarantee their grass, so if you get grass from them, make sure it looks good. But even then, you may end up with some bad pieces. I purchased a pallet on Friday, June 17, 2011. I can understand a few pieces but when your pallet of 150 pieces has over 40 bad ones, there is a problem there. The lady that I talk to started to use every excuse that I figured she would use. She first accused me of not watering enough. I tried to explain to the lady that I had purchased 2 pallets just a month ago and they look really nice, so if those 2 pallets made it, would it not stand to reason that I must be watering enough. I also tried to explain to her that I knew I was watering enough because when I would stand on the grass after water, my foot would sink meaning the dirt underneath was saturated. She quickly dismissed that and told me that does not mean that I am watering enough. She tried to get technical with me and asked me what type of measuring device I was using to make sure I was watering enough. She even tried to use the water restrictions as an excuse for the dead grass. We all know that even during water restrictions, you can still water by hand every day. Again, I tried to tell her that I started watering the grass immediately after putting it down and have pretty much kept the dirt wet since, but again, she kept going back to I was not watering enough and the water restrictions are taking a toll on everyone’s lawn. So, I guess by her reasoning, everyone in the city might as well not bother to water your grass, even by hand, because since we are in stage 3 water restrictions, it will not do any good and your grass is going to die anyway. I even tried to argue the point that if I am not watering enough then why is the other two thirds of the pallet looking nice and green. In a nutshell, San Antonio buyers, Del’s will not guarantee their grass which could leave you with wasted money. I spent 130 dollars on that pallet and since approximately one third has the potential of being bad, I may have just lost between 40 and 50 dollars. I will continue to water the grass in hopes that it recovers, but I don't plan on buying any more grass from Del's, of which I still need a couple more pallets, unless I get to talk to the owner. That is another story. When I told her that I wanted to talk to the owner, she told me it could take up to one month, yeah right. They drive out to the farm every day to pick up grass and they cannot get a message to him right away? I will not let this go until I talk to the owner. My next step, if I don’t hear from the owner soon, is to let one of the news stations know. The loss of 40 to 50 dollars is not significant in my eyes, but it could be to someone else and I don’t want anyone else being treated this way. You know, if the lady that I talk to on the phone had been more pleasant and just apologized and said that sometimes the grass dies regardless of how hard you try, I probably would have let it go, but she immediately started asking about how much I water then started accusing me of not watering enough and that is why I did not let it go and don’t plan until I talk to the owner. So my rating may be low but it is not because of the grass but instead because of the customer service. The grass looks great and I am sure you will enjoy it if you get some good stuff.
