Dr. Arishita, born and raised in Petaluma, California, graduated with highest honors in Physiology from UC Davis before earning his medical degree from the F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine in 1987 while commissioned as a Lieutenant in the US Air Force. He completed his general surgery residency at David Grant USAF Medical Center in 1992 and moved to San Antonio in 1994 for a plastic surgery residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the Kleinert Institute. Serving as the lead microvascular plastic surgeon and Chief Plastic Surgeon for the Air Force until 2008, Dr. Arishita specialized in breast reconstruction and contributed to breast cancer clinical protocols. Since joining PRMA in 2008, he has continued to focus on breast reconstruction and has been recognized annually as one of “America’s Top Surgeons.” He is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
