This place almost made me have...

This place almost made me have a heart attack on my wedding day!!!!! I found this place because they were right by my parents house and all the cakes on display looked great. After the taste testing me and my then fiance decided to book with them. Now in the contract it clearly stated that they would be there 2 hours before the ceremony to make sure everything was set up. My ceremony started at 4:30 pm and we got there around 3 to get ready and the cake was not there! My whole family tried to call them for over an hour and no one would answer!!!!!!! That just made me so upset. They had told me over and over again that they had been to my venue so there is no excuse for getting lost. I understand that sometimes there is traffic or things come up but I had my phone number and a back up phone number for them to call if they needed me. They expected me to have the cake paid off by a certain date well I expected them to arrive by a certain time and they didn't. They eventually got there right before my reception started and the owners of the venue helped set it up. Not once did they come up to me and apologize or call me . To me that is very irresponsible and unprofessional. The cake tasted good but the whole getting there late and not calling or apologizing just threw me off. For that I would not recommend this place to anyone unless its for a small birthday party and you go pick up the cake yourself.

We used The Exclusive Cake Shop for my parents 50th wedding anniversary party. BIG MISTAKE!!!! The cake itself looked fine except for the bubble on the top layer and the missing frosting also on the top layer. These however are not my main issue with Laura. In transporting the cake the top layer slid straight off taking the pictures and backside of the cake with it. Now, I know the easy response is to say "Reckless driving" which is all Laura said about why the top had slid off. However, I was the one driving the car the cake was in and I can assure you there was no abnormal driving conditions. Rather, I believe the amount of filling on the top layer and the fact that it was not secured in any way caused it to slide straight off.



When I went to talk with Laura about it all she did was make excuses and point the finger at me and the my mother-n-law who picked the cake up. I was not looking for anything more than an apology and an understanding as to why this may have happened. But, from the minute I mentioned what had happened Laura became defensive and insistant that there was nothing that she could have done wrong or differently. She continously told me that she is not responsible for the cake once it leaves her shop and that I should have driven better. NOW THAT IS GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! I WILL NEVER BUY FROM HER AGAIN AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO AVOID HER SHOP.

My first experience with the family owned shop was interesting, and that should have been a hint. I walked-in the shop to see what they had to offer in wedding cakes, since I was getting married and needed to order my cake. I was greeted by the mother, which was nice but she didn't speak a word of English. I had to sit and wait for the daughter to arrive at the shop to talk about their cakes. After deciding to give them a try (not usually a good idea to try a brand new place for such a special event), I encountered a lot of little fees in our contract, which pretty much undid the big savings I was going to gain from using them in the first place. One of these fees was a large deposit for using their silver cake stand, which never made it to our wedding!! The cake looked nice and tasted good but I was very disappointed with this mistake. Later on, the owner refunded my deposit and said that the wedding that used our cake stand the day before, did not return it on time, which is completely ridiculous. If you are going to have a business, you should keep plenty of cake stands in stock! She offered to make us a small free cake (only after I called and shared my dismay) for our 1st anniversary, which was nice. Then later on, I found out that most cake shops offer this to all of their customers as a complimentary service. Overall, not so impressed. I hope they 'get it together' if they hope to stay in business. My advice is, save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

I would not buy my dog food from these people

I had a special occasion that I chose to buy a cake from their shop and it was anything but beatiful or tasty. They were late and very unprofesional. It was my mistake to have a memorable day that I would remember for the rest of my life, to be handled by this family owned cake shop. True we were on a budge,t but I will never mistake quality for quantity again. We also had entertainment that was aranged through their business, or so I thought. I was overcharged and I later ran into the DJ and found out they were never paid...



So I do not reccomend doing any type of business through this cake shop

Great customer service. always friendly an delicious cakes. all of them vert moist and the decorators are the best! I buy all may cakes from them
