Healy-Murphy Center provides individualized education, early childhood development and support services for youth in crisis. Founded in 1888, the center operates a child development unit that focuses on the growth of sensory, motor, perceptual and language skills. Its child development unit offers health screening sessions and child care classes and is approved by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The center also operates a high school that offers diploma programs for young people between the ages of 14 and 18. The center s school also offers sports programs in volleyball and basketball. Additionally, the center provides educational programs for parenting and pregnant teens. Healy-Murphy Center is located in San Antonio.
