I would think twice before putting a loved one at this facility. Domingo (Director of nursing) blacklisted a wound care nurse from the Heartis facilities because she has tattoos. I know personally that this nurse is fantastic with her patients, very professional, provides over the top care, and works hard to build trusting relationships. And despite NEVER receiving a patient complaint Domingo felt her tattoos did not line up with the "high end" facade they are trying to portray for their cash paying residents. I personally find that offensive, bigoted, and discriminatory! Who cares about tattoos if she is great with patients! If Domingo is representative of Heartis values, I would look for an assisted living facility who is not judgmental and instead spends their time focusing on their residents and their needs.
