My son’s Trumpet was in need of a good cleaning and minor repairs so I called Hillje along with another instrument repair company to see if they could complete the needed work over the Christmas Holidays (2 weeks). Hillje convinced me the repairs would only take 1 week so I took the Trumpet to them. When I dropped it off they again said they have many repair people and it wouldn't be a problem to complete the work in a week. I called them at 1 3/4 weeks and was told over the phone they haven't even started it and that it would be at least another week. When I asked why they lied to me they got defensive and stated they had over 500 instruments to repair and so my unit wasn’t completed. When I went in everyone was sitting around (all the repair people) not doing anything and they were happy to give me my unit back untouched. Well I think they are liars and so I do not recommend using them at all! There are other great places that don't lie to you including High School Music which completed everything in 1 Day! Way to go High School Music!

They do excellent quality repairs with a fast turnaround. I am also impressed with their selection of musical instruments and their responsiveness to the local band community. Anytime I need instrument repair or to make a purchase, I'll come back here.
