Founded in 1995, the International School of the Americas is a learning center that provides educational services for more than 400 students in grades 9 through 12. It offers classes in English literature, history, economics, biology, chemistry, physics and Spanish language. The school also provides various extracurricular activities in the areas of arts and crafts and theater. The International School of the Americas offers a gifted and talented education program, as well as field trips. In addition, it operates a library that stocks a variety of study materials. The International School of the Americas organizes sports activities, such as volleyball, football and swimming. It additionally offers counseling services. The school has environmental, chess, international book and juggling clubs. Located in San Antonio, the International School of the Americas is a part of the North East Independent School District, which operates elementary, middle and high schools.
