Dr. Thompson and her staff are wonderful! I love my daughters new smile after being told she would need jaw surgery to correct her jaw cause it was growing crooked. I came to Dr. Thompson's office she recommended an appliance for 6 months then braces for a year and a half. Her smiles has improved 100% her confidence has gone up and is more active in school. All this cause Dr. Thompson took the time to listen to our needs and take the conservative way instead of just suggesting surgery! There should be more dentist like her. Thank you for all that you did for my little girl and for your part in making her a confident young lady with an amazing smile.

Dr. Thompson and her staff are GREAT!! I went in as a walk in, had a horrible toothache and she was able to see me immediately!! I didn't have to wait out in waiting are for a long time, they brought me back as soon as I filled out my paperwork. I would HIGHLY recommend my friends and family to this office.

If your getting braces do not get your teeth fixed here. They basically told me that they were going to make my top lip look fuller and oh boy did they do that. Now I look like a monkey mixed with rat and horse. After I got them off I got clear plastic retainers and they didn't tell me they had permanent ones otherwise I would have gotten them, so I got the clear ones you can take off and my top one broke, I went right in the next day and noticed that my teeth had began to move the top ones especially, I went back and told them and told me its because I hade waited to long to get them again. Umh no I went the day after early morning so I don't know how they could so fast. Anyways they put me through a holly retainer they broke got another one because my teeth were separating from the back so they thought getting new ones would fix it. I kept going because they told me that if I bought another king of retainer they would get fixed and all I did was spend money. The bottom ones always stayed crocked right as soon as my Medicaid was about to expire and they found out they wanted to take them off but I decided to tell them no they then brought up taking them off four months later. Maybe my teeth were okay in the beginning but they began to shift fast after I followed all the procedures and all I did was spend more money on the ones that kept breaking till they finally told me nine eleven months later I could get a permanent one. They shifted and blamed it one "Oh that's just the shape of your bottom teeth" and "your tongue thrusting too much" yeah well tongue thrusting... isn't that why I bought other things to fix them, not to keep hearing that or that I'm making things up basically or twisting things to what they said would happen would happen if I bought something else or what they really meant. Their probably going to read this and know who I am but yeah they were nice people, they are very friendly and treat you with a smile but the work isn't good. As far as braces no though. The cleaning is good but just buy an instrument at home and brush and twist off any plaque and that's basically the type of same cleaning you'll get as if you were to go. $75 dollars for it isn't worth it and they always have new people working there. When getting my retainers remade a new lady made them and made them with so many bubbles I had to go back and get them redone. Not even that I payed to get them redone and then another holly retainer made right after for no reason only to have the holly retainer do nothing in the end but "keep my teeth aligned"... when they said it was supposed to keep my mouth closed. Their so nice I even get confused as to what was really going on with my teeth and what they had really said because it sounded so believable. I hope I don't have to go back their again because they probably know who this is but I had to write this review. If my mom wouldn't have signed me up to this place because they accepted Medicaid I would have never gone.

I, woke up with all the left side of my face swollen on labor day weekend and had so much pain in my gums that I knew I had to see a dentist a.s.a.p.

I called one of my friends to ask her what dentist she went to see, when she had a tooth extracted and she highly recommended Irma Cantu- Thompson for any dental need. I was so glad they were able to scheduled my appt right away.

When I arrived and checked in at the window the staff was so welcoming and that it made me feel like I picked the right Dental Office to take care of my needs.

The Dr Irma Cantu-Thompson greeted me and made me feel like I was taken care of 100% she told me that my wisdom tooth needed to be extracted and that I also had an infection and that she would call in medication for me. The Dr extracted my tooth by the time I checked out of the office and went to pick up my medication the pharmacy had it ready for me I did not even have to wait for it because the staff at the dentist office called it in while the dr was extracting my tooth.

I felt so much better it was instant relief and swelling and pain was gone.

I am so glad my friend recommended Dr Thompson to me and I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a great & professional dentist. They really do welcome you with a big SMILE !. Thank you SMILES R US

Dr. Cantu-Thompson and Her Staff are GREAT!!! I had a very bad tooth over the weekend and had to go to the ER, I was told I had to see a dentist asap. After calling around with no luck I called Dr. Cantu-Thompson office the receptionist was very nice and help full and made me an appointment for that afternoon, By the time I arrived my pain meds had worn off and I was in very bad pain. after a couple of x-rays Dr Cantu-Thompson checked my tooth and said I needed a Root Canal, the ladies up front helped expalin my Insurance (Thanks Rita) and work begain, I was SOOOO scared but everyone was so nice and they helped keep me calm and comfortable even when I cried, by that evening the pain had gone away and I felt so much better. After about a week I returned for my crown and a cleaning. Dr Cantu-Thompson and her Staff are wonderful!!!! and I know I have found myself a GREAT Dentist!!!!!

I recently called Smiles R Us due to so much pain I had from my wisdom tooth and they were able to see me right away. I went in for my appointment and the people at the front desk were so kind and sympathetic towards the pain I was in. I was scared that the procedure was going to be painful. I met with Dr. Irma Thompson and she asked if I had any questions or concerns with the procedure that was going to be done. She explained to me I wasn't going to feel anything and so she extracted my wisdom tooth and I was so relieved that I didn't feel a thing. I was so impressed with the doctor and her staff on the work that was done.

I went to their SW Military location and the receptionist was really nice, the office is super-clean, I felt very comfortable during treatment. The rates were much lower than other dentists and got everything done in 2 visits. They were really gentle and I didn't feel any pain at all during or after. I would highly recomend this dentist!

I looove Dr.cantu's office and staff they have always gone out of their way to get me in as soon as possible and they are very patient with children.Their front desk receptionists are awesome especially Isabelle great job guys! I highly recommend the southside office

The staff and dentist were very friendly, and made me feel comfortable. Ever since I was a kid I have been too afraid to step foot in dentist ofice. I needed a lot of work and they did it all, really quick and didn't hurt at all. I recommend them.
